Looks like you ordered 5 pulleys. I assume they didn't have the tensioner pulley that LFP sells. I should have told you I wanted a set too to save on shipping

Sorry if this has been previously discussed, but do you guys know if these pulleys are same diameter/width as originals, or if they will need different spacers or bolt lengths?

I’d be interested in getting a set just to add to the spare parts box for when the originals eventually go bad.

    Hey @Murphinator
Just to add a data point...I'm also on stock tensioner, stock length belt, no addtl wrap mods or rollers and the urd 2.85 pulley. We're also in similar climates, etc

I'll check what blower belt I've been using for the last 15k miles...but I haven't had any squeals, or failed idlers since initial install over 50k miles ago.

My stock bearings lasted a good while so I’m honestly not sure if its just the bearings I’m using or if the belt is too tight or what the issue is. All I know is the stock belt/pulleys lasted a long time aside from the stock belt starting to crack.

Lol, I bought stainless bearings from Germany for my Maytag front loaded washer a couple years ago and they’re still going strong. It’s a 23 year old “Neptune” washer with bearings much like a front spindle. I replaced them twice, then finally wised up and put stainless bearings in it after they started howling again. Hopefully third times a charm ;)

I meant it was the gates rpm belt from a german supplier since I couldn't find it anywhere else.

Per your note, I have been replacing my pulley bearings myself for a while now. It's getting increasingly harder to avoid knock offs. Pretty much the entirety of ebay and scamazon is flooded with knock off SKF, FAG,Timken etc. If you're shoppin and they're super cheap you know why. For example retail for a 6802 is around 20 bucks each from a licensed supplier. You'll see them on ebay for $6..

I've been using a Gates RPM belt for the last 15k miles. No issues with idlers.

The uppers are similar but the lower 3" ribbed has it's own collar that fits their bearing. SCOL uses the 2.1" smooth idler to replace the tensioner idler. I'd say wait for Murph to post up when he gets it in to confirm no other collars are needed. And the kicker.. I asked SCOL and they were out of stock on some parts such as circlips to hold in the bearings. Probably won't be ready for another couple weeks but since you're just collecting for spares...

Does anyone have an NST alternator pulley with the offset on the mounting surface for sale? I have a flat one and need the one with the step on the back side

The rasp is too real with the urd spec headers and mk2 y pipe. Chopping up the y pipe and going to run a mini resonator on each side. O2 sensor to be relocated to the merge collector so I can read both banks with one aft gauge.. hard to commit to having one for each bank although it makes sense..

    20240313_192812.jpg

Also put together my frankensteined set of Chevy springs to prep for the swap soon.

    My shit is all stock.
The goal here being that the belt rides as close as possible to centered over the bearing inside that sleeve. This looks great from that angle.

Gotcha, and that totally makes sense. However I think in this particular case, to achieve that the pulley assembly can still be tucked in a little closer:

Nice that’s about 9-10 mounts. Haven’t got a response yet but that helps already. I already run them and it’s a “solid” addition.
