One or two things modded... Check out the build thread
They sold out rather quickly is my only gripe...

Well, that and like you said. The part about taking things too seriously and trying to be more "expert" than what they are. Like the "roadway accident" simulations they used to do for click bait.

Yeah I totally agree. They have a ton of sponsors nowadays.

I actually picked my Grabbers because when I was first getting into truck stuff I was like “well, if it’s good enough for them then it’s good enough for me.” You hit the nail on the head with the whole thinking they’re experts thing. It seems to me like they’re slowly growing into the experts they always acted like.

I emailed them once a year or two ago, before my trip Montana, to see if they would let me stop by their “hanger” to check it out since I was driving across the country and I’m a big fan. They never responded lol

I get what you mean. YouTubers do that these days, I mean clickbait part.. Lot of people do that on their products or videos all the time.

For example, the tire "expert" says this tire is great on wet pavement. Then vehicle drivers buy those tires and they slide all over place on wet pavement... Expert, huh?

I have had people telling me that KO2 isn't good enough for wet pavement. My brother has KO2 on his 4runner. He says, no issues.

Sometimes they do response and sometimes they don't unless they know you very well, in that case, they respond to you. That's what I guess.

Miss? Then why aren't you having them? Go back to Grabber, then.

I haven't gotten AT tires yet. I have street tires on mine because I work construction.. I am about to get AT tires soon once I am done with construction.

People use [brand] tires based on what they use the truck for as long as the tires work for them.

I hear from everyone that the KO2’s are terrible in the rain  It was the main reason I’ve never considered them or the KO3’s.

Would you run the X3’s again? I have about 50k miles on this set of Grabber ATXs and I’ve considered the X3’s from time to time for my next set.

My friends on Vancouver Island run KO2s and love them... it rains a little bit up there. I think empty truck beds and heavy skinny pedals are more to blame.

I can definitely see that being the case. I don’t have any personal experience with the KO2’s, just what I’ve read in reviews and around the forums. I’m sure they’re fine since they sell so well.

KO2's shine off road in an E load rating. Poor rain performance is what steered me away from them.

Yeah same, I do so much on-road driving that I need a tire that can do both.

The only not E-rated tire I would consider is the 255/85/16 AT4W because that still has the duraspec sidewall. Plus the 3PMS rating. Seems like the best of all worlds.

Late to the party regarding tires, but I'll toss my .02 in.

My first Jeep had new KO2s on it. I didn't notice much in the rain but I also bought it not long before winter started, but the first tiny bit of snow and I was all over the road. I had never had any vehicle slide so much as that Jeep on KO2s. Granted a Jeep sucks in the winter anyways with zero weight and a short wheelbase, but after a couple months of fighting for traction I swapped for Duratracs and it was night and day difference. I found the same complaints from a few other folks about the KO2.

I thought the AT4W had most sizes with E rated options? From my understanding that was the whole point of the AT4W, performance of the AT3W with E rated option for the work truck market. EDIT: didn't click in my brain you specified 255/85r16, which does not have an E option.

Yeah the 255 flavor is C rated which I think is good since it’s already 58 pounds, I can’t imagine how much it would weigh if they made it an E rated tire.

I really don’t want to run a tire that’s not E rated, but I know the 255/85/16 AT4W has the duraspec sidewall so I’m hopeful it might still have really good puncture resistance.

I just noticed your sidemarker on your XB headlights, I didn't realize you have amber.. I have clear/smoked lens on mine but it has amber led inside. Mine is a 1st gen of headlights.. Yours is probably either 2nd or 3rd depending on which year you bought them.

I just looked up headlights vendor's website and see if they have clear/smoked option but they don't offer it anymore..

Not sure why they don't do it anymore. Oh well. But I found alternative website offers sidemarkers only not whole assembly which means you have to take headlights apart to swap the lens.

Yeah I believe they are still the newest iteration of their headlight since I haven’t had them for very long.

Don’t have to sell me on a regear! Now if I could find the money for it, that would help

Hahaha that’s the first step! I don’t need one, yet. That will depend upon my next tire choice since the rest of my truck is still super light.

Go to the closet and grab your Monopoly game, open it up and grab the money as much as you can and then take off for the regear shop... Problem solved.
