Damn. 87 just crept back over $3/gallon here in DFW. Grateful to be in TX when hearing about prices elsewhere.

That's a good looking camper that's not flush with the truck cab. A lot of the higher tops look goofy.

PHX is about $3.70 for regular. Yuma is about $3.30, usually about $0.50 cheaper.

Today my front passenger window randomly decided to be out of alignment and would not go up. Thankful to my past mod experiences of changing out speakers and sound dampening it was easy to pop off the panel and investigate what was going on. One loose bolt fell out just removing the panel which I was hopeful was the only culprit but it wasn’t the only thing unfortunately. I got it to go up but it always gets out of alignment when I try and put it down so I’m leaving it up to take to the dealer or a shop.

On a brighter note, I got to install these All-Top recovery board mounts that I found on Amazon. I really like the feature that I can put a lock on the rods as a theft deterrent— can never have anything nice

My old lady’s from Tucson, so whenever we go back to visit her parents I’m always surprised gas is close in price to here. I just assumed with California being next door it would be expensive. Glad it isn’t though!

Tell me you don't have to do all that just to swap the headlights.

Installed the Tufskinz mud flaps with 4WD lettering on it.

also completed installation of the bed stiffener, meso custom total tail light conversion and diode dynamics c1r rear facing light.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the primary benefit of the bed stiffeners, aside from the obvious bed stiffening.

Well, that would definitely be the primary benefit. A secondary benefit would be extra tie down spots.

But, why does the bed need to be stiffer? What is the benefit of that? That's really my question...could have just asked that the first time, I guess.

I found it useful in terms of purely reducing the bed bouncing effect that would put stress on the bed sidewalk, also I plan on putting a bed camper on top of the bed sidewall, which would benefit from having bed stiffener to reduce the splaying effect acting on the sidewall close to the tailgate end.

I just installed mine this past weekend/Friday.

I plan on buying a Diamondback Tonneau cover...at some point...it weighs roughly 125 lbs.

The bed stiffeners provide support to the tail end since the front section of the bed is squared off.

The bed stiffeners "intent" is to keep the metal in the tail section from bowing since it is not squared off with the tailgate.

Not the best explanation but...you get the gist.
