Family matters...Im really not good at. Example: we moved from Idaho to Az for short time, my closest family is my uncle. They live in Washington state, They (mostly my aunt) was pissed we moved. #1 Im grown up and never been under their house rules.

#2 I dont need their permission to move anywhere.

#3 we had lunch one time in all 8yrs we lived close-ish to them. And that was only because they had gone to a concert and were on the way home. At this lunch My aunt asks what we do for fun, so i say we go hunting and fishing a lot. She starts in how can you eat deer? They are so cute... I just say cuz they taste good! Anyway that was about the jist of that lunch...

#4 we moved to KY in 2021 so this past Christmas wife sent a Christmas card out to friends and family and to share a recipe from your family with who sent you a card. She sends one to my Aunt and Uncle with our new address. No response back, no card, nothing. Well F you too! I dunno i try to be nice but i get BS high school games from them. Whatever Im done with them...

I find the less I think about doing something and just doing it works out best for me.

If I think too long on it, I’ll start to search the web and that’s the biggest mistake I can make. Time and opportunity lost as I dig deeper and deeper into how I should do something instead of just doing it.

@Fargo Taco , I’m nominating you as Uncle of the Year!

Again, up way too early so it’s gonna be another drag ass Monday…

    Good morning everyone :hattip:

Simple. I don't. That's why I have 50 unfinished projects around here. I have a very short attention span that makes it hard to get anything done. It's a wonder I've gotten to where I'm at in my career.

I can't even watch a movie anymore as I just simply don't have the attention span.

    Same.

Add going south for 4 months knowing there is no way to whittle away at pending projects.

    Morning all
Workin on the Harley this afternoon.
    New handlebars going on.
    New battery installed.
    Spring is inching its way.
If it would stop raining and dry the ground, I’d pull up the boat.

Lots of truck maintenance to do this spring. Need warmer weather for that.

I avoid people (and family) as much as possible. Unfortunately, you get sucked in
and your time is not your time anymore. The price you pay (for me)for being retired and
    or available.
Worry about yourself. Don’t give a shit about what others think cause you’ll never please them and you will be miserable because of it. Don’t offer help cause they sure as hell
    ain’t gonna offer to you.
Tolerate them when you have to. Then get back to your stuff.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming…

@hiPSI I wish I had a answer as I some times find my self losing patience while doing some tasks, but on some I power thru, I find that sometimes my home life and work life are not the same, but then I think to my self I don’t want them the same. I have been really trying to keep them separated as I just want to be there for my family. Especially tree therapy , I sit there in awe watching and trying not to sour the moment. Taking that time for me and family……they can’t take that from me.

I know they make medication for it, but I be dammed if I'm constantly doped up on something like that. I fought for years going on blood pressure meds, but finally caved 5 months ago...

Dude. Not trying to be an ass but, Not going to make much difference.
I did all that healthy shit for 6 months when I was told I had to change. I suffered.
My blood pressure went Up and my cholesterol went up anyway . Lost like 10 pounds I didn’t need to lose.
Lost a lot of strength. Felt like crap?
Take the pill and just enjoy life.

I get what you're saying. Not trying to control the blood pressure naturally, it runs in the family. But my weight was starting to get out of control and my eating habits were garbage, along with my cholesterol high. I was able to shed 15lbs. I've slipped up a little bit here recently, gotta get back to it.

I concentrate best when alone. The shop I work in, there is me and one other guy out here. He has his side, I have mine. We don't talk often because he is so negative. I make it a point to go talk to him sometimes and quickly realize why we don't talk. Been that way going on 29 years.

Patience, I don't have much. It's a constant battle for me, always has been. I try more and more with my kids because I don't want them to be like me, and I tell them that. Don't be like me, be better than me. They learn by example though so it's pushing me to work on it that much harder.

Hunting and fishing, I enjoy watching, listening, and looking at what has been entrusted to us to take care of. If I kill or catch something, it just makes it that much better.

Working on a project, the hardest part is for me to get started on it. Once I start, I want to get it done, 98% of the time. I have a project I started 20 years ago I need to finish :anonymous:
