Detroit had a great run. But politics and corruption took its toll. There is a great meme out there. If I posted it I would get a 30 day vacation. There is still a lot of pride in Detroit. I've flown through there a few times. The airports lighted corridor is unique. I was sure hoping the lions would have gotten to the Superbowl instead of the 49ers

Yep, I've been in Grand Rapids. A couple times that city was impressive. I worked downtown for a week.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good morning Porch Pals and Sue! Finally got our share of the rain, after it was all supposed to stop. Just kept coming and going all afternoon, and we got up to 0.91" for the weekend. We need it - not complaining; other than I was quite delayed in grilling some burgers.

It was at least interesting NASCAR at Bristol. If I were in charge, you get the concrete, and that's it. Next week, they are here at COTA, and that's usually good TV. Then, I will probably lose interest again.

Feeling better to try and catch up this week, and even planning on Hangar day. Wife is mobile and can drive in her new splint, starting OT, and can do most all the one handed stuff.

That grill has some miles on it! I've done big BBQ events before. Takes 2-3 showers to get all the grease off your body when done! On the 4th of July we prepare over 700 servings from the BBQ

Yes Sir. its in need of an overhaul, some old retired guy lets us use it and he always comes by just to hang out,Lord knows how many bbq’s its done. but good set up. 6 racks and you can flip with one hand. and yes 2 showers and still smell smoke thats in my sinus,s. most ruritan groups and some churches have very big pits you can use and make a donation to them.most ive helped with is 1,000 halves..these here turned out real nice and we mopped the heck out of them

Burrito Brothers. I coordinated this group for over 10 years, some of the same players for all 10 years. I finally stepped back and let the new talent take over, these guys are the new and improved version.
I'm the one with the straw hat and reflective sun glasses. The guy on the right with the reading glasses on is a real Master Chef. He can make a desert out of almost anything. One hell of a pool player too!2023 Burrrito Brothers.jpg

The cooks get anything they want, in this case at least a case of PBR. I use PBR to simmer my brats in.

I was going to start yesterday but we had a lot of wind and colder temp. It can wait another day.

Looks like a good time with a lot of work. :)

Good morning. Spring is here and spring break is over. Back to chair yoga today. Works out pretty good for me. Hit the gym, practice guitar, chair yoga, shower, then lunch. If the temp gets up in the 50's I will be weeding in the garden. Only supposed to get up to 50 and we might have snow flurries around 7am. Current temp is 31.

Decent bike riding weather is right around the corner. When you ride all year a temp increase of 5 degrees is welcomed.
