Alright ladies, time to check in. Who is 100% sure camping out Friday night? I know MonkeyProof and I are. We are both taking off from the LA area.

Whoever wants to roll with us and is camping out Friday let me know.

These are the people who are 100% camping out on Friday night. I'll keep updating the list. We will setup camp around "sand hill" which is pretty much adjacent to the ranger station, this way the rest of the guys can meet up with us Saturday morning. Where do you guys propose we meet on Friday so we can roll out together? I'll be taking off from where the 10 and the 710 meet.

I'm going to bring my friend in his stock Titan 4x4. So far he's kept up with everything I've done. I've been to Ocotillo a few times but never to off road with a truck..usually just borrow my friends toys and rhino. Anyways, are you guys going to hit up shell reef and the sandy area?

EDIT: dtrujillo63: What time are you guys heading out on friday? If I go I'm 100% leaving friday and pitching a tent.

im thinking in the area of Sand Hill...there's a dirt road named Main street just down the road from the Ranger Station. i guess anywhere off of Main Street north of Highway 78.

for those with GPS devices coordinates to the intersection of Highway 78 and Main Street...
    LATITUDE: 33*8'56.75"N
    LONGITUDE: 116*9'0.43"w

here's a map of the area...

I'm thinking we will probably leave the LA area around 8 PM, maybe a little later. As long as traffic has died down.

Oh well in that case I'm in. I thought you guys were planning on leaving around afternoon time. I might actually leave a little earlier but I gotta talk to my friend and cousin and see what time they want to leave. I guess it doesn't matter if I leave in the afternoon or 8, by the time I get there it will be dark anyways. You guys going to do a night run at all? Something simple?

I've never been to Ocotillo before, but I'm down for whatever. If the rest of the Friday crew wants to do a run that night I'm all for it :D! We do have to wake up bright and early Saturday morning though.
