    Just getting started.
I'm considering this size and also have an OR with stock suspension. Did you remove the mud guards as a precaution or do they actually interfere with the tires?

So I removed them after tire install as they rubbed slightly while turning and braking but just barely. I was gonna take them off either way after a off-roading trip in NH. A few of the guys that I went with were worried about them getting ripped off if I got hung up… luckily these trucks are awesome in stock form and I came home with fenders still intact but after I took them off I drove around 30miles and no more rubbing.

How bad was the rubbing on this tire setup? Only rubbing off-road? Rubbing on plastic or cab mount?

It’s been a hot minute so my memory is pretty dodgy. As far as I recall the only rubbing I experienced was on the mud flap. Some trimming/molding remedied that just fine.

So definitely no cab mount rubbing that’s all I’m pretty much worried about

The cab mount wasn’t an issue for me. Each truck seems to be a little different.

different tire brands could have slight variations that cause a rub

Any more updates on these? How are they riding? What’s your mpg look like? Do you have any additional side profile shots so I can see how they fill the wheel well? Just trying to make sure they aren’t too stuffed for my liking. I installed the TRD lift kit on my 23 OR and have been looking into this tire size recently trying to decide on my next set. This looks really good.

Noise and performance on ice are pretty much as expected. I drive to and from work and the ski resort, elevation difference is around 1000 m (3300’) so fuel consumption suffers, especially when in 4WD. Most recent fillup gave a bit under 14 L/100 km (17-18 mpg). On long highway drives at the speed limit, can get as low as around 10 L/100.

10L/100km is like 23.5mpg, right? That's pretty impressive for 33s. I honestly wouldn't expect more than 16-18mpg driving up and down a mountain... Honestly, that's pretty good imo.
As far as performance on ice, what do you mean expected? Do they do alright? Better or worse than stock?
    Man that thing looks good!

10l/100? I live in your neck of the woods, Boundary to the Alberta border, on hwy 3, - 14.5l/100km if I nurse it along. That's over the Paulson, Bombi and Kootenay Passes.

Boundary to Spokane, on a gentle reasonably flat winding State Hwy, 12.5l/100km.

    Boundary to Williams Lake, 14.5l/100km

    I'm on 32"

    Stock I don't think I saw anything under 11l/100km

Well, I am certainly a fan of skinnier tires and wanted to grab all the benefits for my taco while also fitting a bigger tire. I got 255/80r17’s - Toyo Open Country ATIII’s on TRD pro rims. I have a ‘23 nightshade (“limited” trim) and put in the Bilstein 5100’s 2” front and (and Icon AAL 1.5” rear w/bilstein 5100’s). While irrelevant at the rear, I did have minor contact at the front before the lift. After lift install, I found that the outside corner of the back side of the tires would make contact with the factory mudflaps. I replaced with a thinner aftermarket flap (RallyArmor flaps). One flap still stuck out a bit more than the others and i figured during a bounce I would get contact, so I fabbed a small bracket and added a bolt to keep the flap back. I’ve left the air dam on for now for fuel economy, and while I did not contact (1/4” of clearance) while turning, parked, I expected contact during any bouncing, so I trimmed the lower corners back about ~1/2” over a 3-4” stretch. Very minor and quick to sort out… might have rubbed a bit at factory ride height.

I’m super pleased with the offset and with tire sidewall profile/shape.

    Obviously pics or didn’t happen:

Wow that air valence would’ve been 86’d that’s one thing the OR’s don’t have. Since I put my skinnies on and removed my mud guards I have only rubbed once that was from hitting a entrance hump to a local restaurant a little fast. As to fuel I’m getting 18-20mpg highway city driving is not that great but it doesn’t bother me. Eventually I’ll get a lift probably the same as @Chriswhaaaat

Not really sure 33x10.5 are really skinny but this thread was super helpful in my tire decision. Epic people on this thread.
Kenda Klever RT, no trail fun for the next few weeks but road manners have been good. Low noise and pretty comfortable for a heavy E rated tire.
CMC/pinch weld is done but not required at this size, minor heat molding in the front.
Sips more fuel and requires a bit more to stop but driving isn't bad. I save my speed for my wifes subie anyways.
Only bummer is discount scratched the spare. I was upset at the start but it matches the trucks paint now.

Where are most people getting their tires from? Is a place like discount tire going to be annoying about installing a skinny 33? Even if it won’t rub…? Or are most ordering wheels and tires from a place like tire rack? I plan on keeping my stock OR wheels when I upgrade, so I’d need a shop to mount and install.

Calgary to West Kootenay; results involve leaving the cruise control on 90 actual (that’s 55 for our American friends) correcting for the larger diameter, and filling with 94 octane. The scenery in the National Parks is worth an extra hour of driving at a leisurely pace.

Had I gone with the other tires I was considering I would have just gone through Discount...not sure what you mean by annoying though...you'll just pay an install fee if you bring them tires, they didn't question anything and had me out in 1.5 hours.
