You think the 3rd gen became more desirable when 4th gen debuted? Nope. Your resale value increased because 4th gen sticker prices are a few thousand dollars higher across the board.

It’s not what I think brother it’s what happened. All the recalls and customer issues with the gen 4 and then “some” dealers have the audacity to mark them up. And so it’s not just because of the mark up on the gen 4 . Many wanted the last year of the naturally aspirated V6 less all the problems the turbo 4 banger platform is having . That Sir is why the secondary market on the Gen 3 is smoking. Like it or not ;)

^The recalls are on 3rd gens  Your 2023 year had the loose rear axle wheel bearing bolts.

4th gen has zero recalls and zero complaints to the NHTSA: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

@Visa_Declined Let me clarify then, my mistake they are having issues with the grill shutters getting stuck open and cutting off all cooling and making the dash board light up like a Christmas tree lol . Transfer cases breaking and those are things I just saw from previous owners and I haven’t even went in deep to look for issues just what I saw . Wether Toyota calls them recalls is not my problem nor do I care but sadly 4th gen lovers and owners like your self should care .
Especially since it’s early on and they are already having issues.

^What transfer case breaking? You haven't looked in detail and shooting off your mouth based on Youtube thumbnails?

This is true, but when the first of the damage comes from a decision to run pokey outy wheels, I'd rather skip that step.

is it too much to ask that you all behave like adults and stop with the name calling?
we can resort to timeouts if not.

He bought a '23 Off Road right before the '24's released, and now he's placating regret by lashing out in the 4th gen forum. It's understandable really.

The shutter problem was more than a loose plug. It required a replacement of a part.

Don’t throw rocks boys and girlettes when you live in a glass house. This was just 2 minutes of surfing the net. Fortunately your not worth any more of my time and so good night and enjoy that beautiful “gem” 4 lol

This is the craziest amount of insecurity I've ever seen in my life. And I'm not even joking.
