I bought a new set of front upper strut bushings from Dobinson's. I remember seeing a diagram of the orientation somewhere, but now I can't find it. Does anyone know where to find it? Also, I've over tightened them in the past. What's the proper method?

"From the bare shock stud, going upwards, the order is as follows: Washer
facing upwards, bushing with raised lip facing upwards, shock mount of vehicle, upper
bushing (no raised lip), upper washer facing downwards, nut. The nut should be
tightened so that the bushings are expanded to almost the same OD size as the large
washer, to ensure that the stud of the shock doesn’t have side-to-side movement" per their instructions

So, I have 3 washers. One has a raised lip. Seems like it would go on top of the raised lip bushing, but metal to metal doesn't seem right either. IMG20240316132136.jpg

In the above video, they say they should be tightened until the bushing is the diameter of the washer. However Mike at Exit OffRoad says to bottom them out. This is bottomed out. Does this look right??

I actually emailed the picture to Mike at Exit OffRoad, and he said that looks fine.

If anything, it looks like maybe the washers I received are too small. But, lets hope it stays together like it's supposed to.

    It will be fine.
    It's not going anywhere.

The only time it will will have a lot of pressure on it is when the suspension is at full droop.
Otherwise, the weight of truck is keeping it "all together".
