Had a sxs run me off the road, flipped my truck 3 times and the fucker kept going. I hate sxs with a passion. Totaled my truck and almost killed my girlfriend and I. Middle of the night with no cell service on a back country road. Luckily we landed right side up. Drove home and called insurance and police. Of course it was too late to find the guy, I hope he rots in hell.

 

Anyone have a detail shop they recommend? Looking to get some ppf and/or ceramic coating done.

No lie, I had him quoted for this comment ! They usually find ppl up in the pines to plug up and touch in booty places!

That's the kind of thing where the SxS ends up getting "shipped" to Mexico, and the occupants featured on a true crime episode.

 

There is the movie about the dude up here going missing then showing back up a few weeks later that claims abducted by aliens. "fire in the sky" I think thats what the movie is called.

 

Yep that's the one! That movie ruined camping in the woods as a kid. Probably a bad parenting call letting me watch it. Wasnt that based on a true story/event?

 

Yep true story (well if you believe the guy) Allot of the old timers up here know/knew the guy. He supposedly did have a bit of a drug and drinking problem.

 

Hearing stuff like this really pisses me off. I was out at Desert Bar in Parker last year and one of those idiots almost hit me cause he was blinded by the dust. My truck was only a couple months old. I probably would have killed the guy if he'd have hit me.

Yeah it seems to be a pretty consistent mix of alcohol plus thinking they are playing GTA...

 

It was awesome.

 

Had I been conscious and considering the truck was already totaled.... I would have run the fucker down. Probably would have ended up a part of a missing person's case. Still in disbelief that we flipped 3 times, landed on the tires and drove the 2hrs home doing 65 without a check engine light and perfect alignment. Guy came around a corner in my lane with a giant light bar blinding me. He had to be doing 65mph plus. Girlfriend said he never even slowed down(she remained conscious) by the time I came to he was long gone unfortunately. I don't swerve for sxs anymore. I will win that battle next time.

 

After almost wrecking my motorcycle swerving for a pedestrian who stepped off the curb in front of me while texting my new policy is "If I am going to the hospital because of what you did, then you are coming with me"

 

Exactly. I stopped riding in Tucson years ago because I got tired of having to swerve around cars and people pulling out in front of me. Took all the joy out of riding. I stick to 4 wheels now. My dad got run off the road on his bike about 6yrs ago. RIP pops.

 

I dont blame you. I cant believe I rode on the road for years in Phoenix.
Now its just dirt for me, and its not uncommon for me not to see another human the entire time I am out.

Sorry about you dad, freaking horrible.
Part of me thinks self driving cars cant come soon enough, then maybe Ill get back to riding on the road
