BTW I don't think many 18 year olds can afford the 4G. The entry fee to bash it online is much more affordable tho. A lot of those buyers here.

FWIW @TacoBuffet has been straight-forward and anticipated the 4G from the very beginning. He's probably actually the only one around here who had an allocation for one and was serious about buying. His thoughts and comments carry a little more weight than some of the unnamed people in this thread who made TW accounts with the sole purpose of trashing TW/recruiting for 4G site. Pretty sure the mods would have a field day if they had enough time to waste like the rest of us apparently do.

There appears to be a lot more technical knowledge here than on 4G. I wouldn’t be surprised if half the people there never owned a vehicle let alone a truck.

This is what I noticed as well. Lots of new truck owners, not that that's a bad thing, we all started some where, my first mod was combi locks on my 2008 prerunner.

 

We care, I think he gets beat up when the fishbowl comments come out or chrome or whatever 3rd gen bashing he throws at times but I get his side too, but at the end of the day its just friendly banter, thats always the problem with forums the lack of face to face interaction removes context and emotion from it and it becomes this at times. I mean I replied to him after he noticed his paint getting destroyed running stock wheels and his new more aggressive 285s. I tried to point this out to someone on the FB page, cause I've been there and done that (eaten up paint) with prior Tacomas and was quickly dismissed as just hating.
