Installed new rotors and pads this morning. Picked up a pair of OME D6XL AALs yesterday to add to my Dakar leaf packs.

It looks just like your old truck...only shorter!

Good decision getting the 4x4 - it will serve you well here in MT!

Call Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters. He knows all about them and even had one more set for a 1st Gen when I was there yesterday to pick mine up.

so i looked at both places. what im reading is that the add a leak is for carrying larger loads... i carry my motor cycle every once in a while, but this add aleaf wont lead to flex or lift will it? plus the ride quality will get stiffer with it im assuming....

Do you know of a thread on here with more details on how to do this lift? I'm thinking about doing something, but not totally sure where to start. Even if I have someone do it for me, I'm not sure what I want. These 5100s seems pretty popular on here...

Changed oil to synthetic, greased all my zerks, tinted my tails. Tried blacking out the emblems but have yet to master the art of plasti-dipping dammit it won't stick.

True. The OME AAL is not designed to add lift. Its main function is to increase load capacity, which has been my only complaint about the Dakar springs. However, the AAL from what I have heard can give about .75" of extra lift. It's probably more a result of the springs being able to support the additional weight better, not that there is actually any lift in the additional spring.

I haven't had time to install mine yet so I can't comment on the ride but I would assume they might ride slightly stiffer. I've been on the trail with Kurt from Cruiser Outfitters in his Tacoma with this exact setupand flex doesn't seem to suffer at all.

    Hey yawl,

I am looking to do a 2 lo mod to my 03 Trd 4X4. Does anyone know where I can find some information on how to do this mod? I was told about This mod when I was at Rausch Creek last year and want to do it before next weekend... any help in this matter is greatly appreciated!
