I think Farely is one of the few CEO's that understands that Chinese car makers are a huge threat to the legacy makers. The guy at VW got it, but they fired him. And for Toyota, their CEO will say anything to keep the FUD going. I will be shocked if they ever actually deliver a compelling EV.

Just stating facts dude don't get mad.

The reason toyota isn't going all in on 100% EVs is because people won't be able to afford them for another 30 years and the country will not have the necessary charging infrastructure to make them a viable replace for ICE in this lifetime.

You all can keep dreaming (and pretending that EVs help the environment)....rest of us sadly don't live in fantasyland

 

Most of Canada's energy is sold to us, and then you all wonder up there why you pay through the nose for your own (mostly clean) energy... we live in a literal clown world

 

You mention facts but then say people are dreaming about EVs helping the environment. A bit contradictory when the scientific proven fact is that EVs pollute less than equivalent ICE vehicles across the entire lifespan from mineral harvest, production, life and disposal.

They are generally more expensive (though not by much in many cases) and the public charging infrastructure does kinda suck but neither of those are problems that will take 30 years to figure out.
