Technically speaking, that 4G thread shared most recently with the new owner installing non-4th gen wheels isn’t titled accurately. Those aren’t 3rd gen wheels :bananadead:

Haha true. I have those 4Runner wheels on my 2nd gen currently for the winter. Does that make them 2nd gen wheels?

Well...I just popped in this thread to check out the latest on the 4th Gen and was not expecting to see as lively a discussion as I am seeing...

Posting at TW about how much better some other site is is silly.

Go post there and shut up.

I am very excited about the Ranger now that I heard you can get the 2.7 on the XLT whereas before it was a Lariat only option.

2.7 TTV6 XLT with FX4 package is extremely enticing. On paper anyways.

I like the Cactus grey on the XLT. I haven't looked into the Tremor Package.

315 hp, 400 tq., 7500 towing capacity, #1600 payload, 20 MPG's combined is quite the midsize truck for mid 40's.

I think so too, the payload numbers are solid, Truck King did a video towing with it and he looked at all the trim levels payload stickers none of them were under 1500 lbs even the top trim Lariat. The payload on this midsize is better than most of the Tundras..lol.

If it turns into a decent truck its also interesting that it is the global platform for anyone with aspirations of RTW travel, and the payload is healthy enough to set up a decent camper rig. I test drove the old model and while I liked the engine/powertrain/delivery better than my trucks, the cargo situation was a turnoff. They fixed that, and unfortunately Toyota screwed that up.

I've watched 3 or 4 video reviews of it already today from reviewers that also did the Tacoma and the consensus seems that they are liking the Ranger the best out of the mid sizers they have driven so far. Maybe Ford is paying more..who knows.

This is where Toyota should be taking notes:

$945 buys you a lot of options where on the Toyota.... $945 won't buy you Predators and floor liners.

This thread has gotten weird...I might be even weirder for reading through all of it though, lol!

Also seems like some folks are using forums for the first time in their life. The shit posting always comes first, then the topics.

That's just the way she goes boys. Sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn't, cause that's the fuckin' way she goes.
