Kinda what i was going with when i built a makeshift cap to cross the country.
Paired a 1" steel square tube to match the profile of the Backrack that i had mounted to the truck and mounted it to the makeshift bed rack i made years ago. worked pretty good.

Jank asf but did it's job

Would make it in canvas but i could't figure out the best way to mount it for cheaper than the ATV cover was ($40)

I got a green one for my second gen. I’ve only had it on a couple of weeks, but I’m happy with it so far.

Think this will fit my 2015 long bed? I’m pretty sure I’ve got a Gen 2 and the only long bed they describe is for a Gen 3. If it will fit my truck, it’s exactly what I’m looking for!

Definitely slower to get into than something with doors, pretty similar to a softopper I’d say.

Probably worth checking with the manufacturer, but I bet they’re pretty close. I’d be surprised if there are big differences between the second and third gen models. If anything the flap over the tailgate might be a few inches longer on the third gen model to account for the thicker tailgate.

I would like to order a wildTop with roof rack and mount an ikamper xcover on top, on a 2014 Tacoma short bed. On the List they say the cross bars are 57.83 inch apart. Is this including the rails themselves, does anybody know that?
For the x-cover the maximum crossbar-distance would be 60 inches

Well fellas, I just got an email saying I won Wildtops Friday giveaway. I chose the one I wanted replying via email, and now I wait. I will post back when it arrives with pics of the installed top. We shall see if it was a legit win?

I got it, installed it, ran for a few weeks. It's a solid platform. The canvas sides don't attach like the besttops so I thought that may be an issue, but it doesn't cause any flapping noise or even lift off the bed sides. All in all a solid platform.

I'll get more photos up with cross bar measurements up for those that asked earlier in the thread.
