Oh yeah, there are definitely advantages to the ranger, but his “reasons” are hilarious. Not great payload or better towing, but the position of the tow hooks and lack of air dam are part of the top 5

    And the bedstep!

I personally like it as well, but the 48" between the wheel wells is where I would have made my stand lol.

I like that Ford has three engine options and hasn’t abandoned the V6. It’s also interesting to see the different direction in design that Ford went with. They went with a more classy and refined look rather than the kids toy/transformer look that Toyota went with.

This back grab handle is in a weird place!

literally the exact same place as every vehicle ever

I didn't get that either since I think that handle has always been for holding onto while in the truck, not exiting/entering.

Yeah, they went with a more practical truck design, since its the world version apparently its a hit and what a lot of people want all over. I think this Ranger topped the Hilux for the first time in Australia and I read somewhere that this Ranger is the top selling VEHICLE in New Zealand. It will be interesting to see what happens here in the US.

I like how we live in a timeline where a 4' logo is "classy" hahaha.

I do agree the lesser than Raptor grilles are subtle though.

That’s because it’s still largely a truck used for worksites, whereas the typical Tacoma is driven to the office.

The same features that make it great for the worksite also makes it great for the great outdoors (camping/towing etc)

If it turns out to be reliable then it will be a real winner.

Here is another one of the ranger but of the Lariat. Towards the end he states he should be driving the Hybrid Taco next month. So we seem to be getting closer and April time frame still looks on track.

I backed out of the off-road I ordered. I have a build date of 4/29 for a ranger raptor, excited to say the least. V6, 4 foot between the wheel wells and I won't need to do a single thing once I get it. Mpg's are virtually the same as my mildly lifted 2020 3rd gen so I'm fine with that. Hell, I personally think it's a much better truck and value compared to the yet to be released pro and Trailhunter. Been driving tacos since 2010 so a little change isn't so bad.

For some reason it says $945 but adds like $1445 when you add it in the configuration site. Kinda strange. But the point still stands. Seems like Toyota is going backwards with customization. Maybe it's a result of the new model manufacturing process and it will open up at a later date. Or it's just greed to force a $5k up sale for power seats.

I will say if you spec the XLT to what looks like an OR equivalent it's right around $45k.

Many strong feelings about $60K+ mid sized trucks in these here parts. Be careful friend

I like that a 4x8 sheet will lay flat in the Ranger.
