Add a 2stage Nitrous Oxide system and it won't feel weak.

Here in CA, I am very reluctant to fiddle with a tune that could blow my ability to smog my truck.

And farming is easy work when one plows with a keyboard.

Picking up and leaving California is not as easy as it sounds:

    • Sell your paid-off home
    • Abandon Prop-13 protected low property taxes
    • Clean out and pack the garage warehouse for relocation
    • Buy a high priced home somewhere else
    • Buy into 2x~3x higher property tax rate and HOA
    • Move away from family and grand children
    • Move away from social functions
    • Move away from familiar haunts and businesses
    • Change medical and dental providers
    • Change banks, accounts, credit cards
    • Change drivers license, insurance, utilities, CCW
    • Find a new job

In light of the above, I will simply not opt for a Tune.
Too much hassle that I don't need.

    Right!?

Honestly these truck’s don’t need a tune, people just need to to practice patience. Unfortunately most everyone is in a big hurry all the time, and not sure why…

    …patience, you’ll get there!

I used to live there. Couldn't fart in that state without getting taxed for it. Doesn't appear you have the time to schedule a tune anyway. :hattip:

Sales tax in Palmdale/Lancaster is now 10.25%

Had to do a double take on that

Are you that guy that guns it from stop sign to stop sign? Is there a need to be in "the power" all the time when driving a mid sized truck? I drove a 1990 S-10 with a 2.5 four banger mated to a five speed for many years. I mean if you want to talk about a weak truck. Although it did get better mpg that the new 4th gen :infantry:

How much power do you need? What is the Tacoma not able to do for you because it is 'underpowered.' I have a 2023 and it does all I need it to do.

I like the soft bottom end for the commute and easing into it since it is stop and go, no reason to race. Usually just going to work, why be in a hurry to get there, ya know? Lol!

Toyota used to brag about their fuel economy. :)
