Five episodes into Resident Alien on Netflix. SYFY show and I’m a fan.

Definitely not what I thought it would be but Washburn from firefly is great!

 

Taboo on Prime. Season. Tom Hardy is bad ASS.

10000% percent recommend at this point. Ep 2. It’s a Binger.

 

I watched season 1 several years ago but was really disappointed they cancelled it after that, just heard recently though that Netflix picked it up and there will be a season two coming this year. Gonna have to rewatch it now

 

Brooklyn Nine-Nine, completed S4, on to S5. Peacock

Star Trek: Picard. Completed S3. Paramount+. A little over the top at the end, but enjoyable series. Waiting for Strange New Worlds to return.

The Daily Show. Paramount+. Caught up with the episodes featuring the return of Jon Stewart.

 

The Bloody One Hundredth documentary that followed the finale of Masters of the Air was great, well worth a watch afterward or even if you haven't seen MotA yet.

So I watched the new Road House last night on Prime. I saw the trailer for it and that gave me everything I needed to form an expectation. It lived up to that expectation, which was that Connor Mcgregor needs to keep his day job as a fighter, because acting sure is not his schtick.
Lets just say that the first one was way better, this remake was entertaining, thats it. The acting was mediocre, but it was entertaining in that you could make fun of all the "I'm a badass, I can fight, me tough" bravado.
I can safely assume that it is a one and done movie, you wont watch it whenever it comes on like Shawshank.

 

I started X-MEN 97 on Disney plus. If you enjoyed watching the animated series in the 90's that came on Fox then you will probably enjoy this. Supposedly it picks up where the 90's episodes left off ( I'll be honest I cant remeber that). 10 episodes in this new season with the first two being dropped this week. new Episodes will be dropped on wednesdays.

 

I watched last night as well, same thoughts.

 

Yeah, Mcgregor is a terrible actor but i enjoyed the rest. I don't remember the first one so ill have to pull that one up and watch it

 

Never assume anything when revenue to a studio is concerned. I.E. Fast and Furious, Marvel movies.

 

Best part of the movie was the shaving scene on the catamaran.
