Long ago when I used to work at a dealership the dealer was reimbursed by Shell for filling the customers gas tanks after a sale. I'm not exactly sure how the reimbursement process worked, but we did have Shell gas pumps on site.

I wonder if this is a Toyota thing or if it applies to all auto dealers now.

If a Tesla employee in Austin Texas wishes to buy a vehicle that they made, they have to make their transaction through a front in Oklahoma.

I paid $66k for a brand new ( I ordered it) F350 Tremor with a 7.3L big block Godzilla.. 12” screen, lockers, 4214lbs of payload, hahaha. This is why I sold my Tacoma. They’re crazy. Oh and my Tremor fits 37’s with no modifications and has the power to turn them.

 

Who is to blame here? The greedy Toyota dealers or the idiot Toyota owners that actually pay these ridiculous prices?

Oof. Seriously lagging behind the 3rd Gen debut numbers. Supply problems. Wonder what the mood at Toyota corporate is right now?

Edit: I know the increased development costs for say, a powered tailgate. But, what if supply chain issues related to that powered tailgate that no one asked for mean decreased sales number? Not saying that is happening. Just saying it is poor risk management.

 

I would think the low sales are caused by the quality control hold they had going on and the absurdly high prices and interest rates.
