Creeds coworker is the kinda guy who lives to be 97 despite himself and then on the other side the guy who wears steel toe shoes to Lowes on Saturdays and ear/eye pro mowing the yard gets struck by lightning 9 times, life is funny like that....

 

If the main is tripping & he has to wait for it to cool down he is going to have a stomper of an electric bill.

Seriously, a tripping main is nothing to take lightly...

 

I'm sure it's fine, it's probably been that way for years

 

I'm a down to earth guy - but I find things like this shocking.

The whole situation has a lot of potential.

 

I bet his insurance guy would be amped up about it

 

Man, I'm on fire today.

 

Here’s something that’s got me jolted. Guy that hit me the other day has no insurance. So towing the truck to the body shop, and the difference between the insurance labor rate, and the shops labor rate, and my deductible (obviously) is on me to pay. Best part? Body shop says 60-90 day turn around for my truck. Watt a pain.

 

Coworkers fixing to have a light snack and a bright idea all tied up in a nice, tidy package
His skills aren't current.

Doesn't shock me at all, not with the man who's Jeep back glass has a 1/2" gap in it and the new seal is laying in the back seat where it's been for 4+ years

No fault with the man who had a cracked radiator in is ole Jeep Cherokee that I counted 21 empty jugs of coolant in one day....while his new radiator was at home, for 5+ years

Potential for him to do nothing about it, yerp

Ain't got no homeowners insurance cause nobody will insure it until he replaces the roof that was on when he moved in, 30+ years ago

Hope his tripping breaker doesn't cause one for him

That stinks man. Smells like a burnt out breaker, if I could smell

 

Speaking of electrical, our main milling machine never gets turned off. I came in Monday and noticed it was off but the power switch was still on. Breaker was tripped. I just figured coworker flipped it by accident Friday evening.

I flipped it back, reset mill and the table wouldn't move and none of the servo blocks had power. Got to checking and three 500V 25 amp fuses were blown. Boss went and got some, nothing changed.

Called the guy who works on it and he was two buildings down so he came by and determined the cap block is supposed to put out 300V and had zero. He ask if I could put it in, I said yeah so he ordered it for us.

Just came in, it was the cap block for sure. Found the chardness.

 

You know I almost quoted Rusty and said, “ he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy with an insurance policy” then I thought, well we’ve probably all assumed that by this point.
Also, here’s a picture you can almost smell…

Well at least they used stones instead of a piece of metal pipe, less hazard you know.
