Lol it’s from another’s members thread. “Sketch or good to go” if you’re interested.

been using Torin big red 3 ton

    works well, has safety pin.
Issue is the head is small and can mess up the truck frame. So I’ve been using blocks of wood or hockey pucks. Kind of sketchy.

curious if anyone knows if these pads from HFT work. Claims to fit their Daytona jacks. But they look the same so it might work. Going to try and find out.

The taller jack stands come in handy sometimes.

    I’ve been using these:

BIG RED AT42002R Torin Steel Car Jack Stands: 2 Ton (4,000 lb) Capacity, Red, 1 Pair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJV5KF3N

    And these:

Pro-Lift Heavy Duty 6 Ton Jack Stands Pair - Double Locking Pins - Handle Lock and Mobility Pin for Auto Repair Shop with Extra Safety https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074R17GL4

The aforementioned stands have been great and problem free, especially he 6 tons.

I will say that I bought some 6 ton stands off of EBay, I wouldn’t do that again and I threw them out as I would never trust using them.

It’s not just WHICH ones to get, it’s HOW they’re used.

When I was younger and dumber, I’m under my car, look over at my jack stand, it’s leaning over with 2 of it 4 feet in the air. Now my preferred way is to jack it up, lower it down with blocks under the wheels, whenever possible. If not possible, and I HAVE to have it on 4 stands, I look at each stand, make sure they’re all situated good. Then think about how much force I’m going to use. Shake the vehicle with a similar amount of force before I get under it.

Gravity should be considered unspent energy until the vehicle is back on the ground on all 4 tires.

    Not in California, thanks.

Tremors and quakes don't happen all that often, but they do happen..
