Yeah it’s rough IRL. No wonder there are rumors of the 4runners piling up on lots

Terra isn’t the best color. 4Runner Pro in Terra runs $56,000 minimum. That’s the reason they aren’t selling.

Looks like they messed up the back door on the double cab, or at least the window. Looks a bit smaller, kind of reminds me of the quad cab Frontier.

Back seats in midsize trucks are spartan to begin with, but that just makes it feel worse.

The b-pillar has been moved back to increase front seat access. Not sure if that’s messing it up or improving it; that’s more of an individual Rorschach test

I see. It looked like the back window got narrower. Could just be the angle as well, I'll have to see one in person.

It took me a few years to warm to the 3rd gen as well.

That's not the op's new truck. It's a loaner. It still has delivery stickers on the inside windshield.

Given that it has the worlds best engine and transmission it could easily be double.

Are you talking about the sticker on the bottom corner of the windshield? In commiefornia that’s where they put your temp registration

    You can get a 12v Cummins in a 4runner?

Nah man, a GM gasoline 232 CI inline 6 from the 60's.

That (and it's cousins the 250 and 292) are nice truck engines. Torquey, smooth, and talk about eady to maintain...

We ran one for an unknown amount of time with about 1 quart of the dirtiest oil you've ever seen, no issues.

Edit: the 4.3 v6 is another contender for "adequate" truck engines, but obviously more modern and complex.

How I got nostalgic on GM engines on a 2024 Toyota forum is beyond me, lol.

The ford 4.9 would probably fit, too

    - OP posts "issue", little details, no pertinent underside photos, small update, lives with relatively good-natured jabs, then 5 days later shows "new" truck >>> "OK"

    - OP finally posts pics of new truck 18 hours ago, supposed jokers not replying within minutes (except the pooper colors lol) >>> "Fail"

    :notsure:

BTW I like the bronze in the latest pic. I like darker colors most of the time.
