My truck is currently black with black TRD SEMA wheels and 265/70r17 tires. I'm interested in upsizing to 285/70r17 with Method 703 8.5" 0-offset wheels. I just can't decide if I want to stay with the all black look or try the "Gloss Titanium" color wheels. The black just looks badass, but I see more and more all black trucks nowadays too. What do you think?

Unless you have an actual desire to not be able to see the wheels youre paying for, black over black is a no-go for me.

This is not my truck, but an example of what the titanium looks like on a dark vehicle since the picture above came out pixilated. They're closer to a gunmetal color than a machined metal finish.

I would go with the lighter wheels. With big tires black on black gets lost. Wouldn’t want to not be able to see my fancy new wheels.

IMO, black wheels are too common now. That trend feels old and very played out - especially if you're opting for Methods. I feel like 50% of Tacoma's around here have black methods on them. That said... since your truck is black... black on black will always look good. If it were me I'd go with the Gloss Machined but Gloss Titanium would be my #2 pick.

I love the raw machined aluminum look. Did you notice a mpg decrease when you went with method wheels? With them being heavier than oem that was my concern. So I went with a lighter FN wheel. (Less than 19 pounds per wheel)

I did not notice a decrease in MPG's, I did however notice that I'm getting a lot more compliments on my truck/wheels! Lol

I don't know why but black rims make it look like your driving a car without hubcaps. Also all black you can't see the details anyways.

Another gloss titanium here. Eventually planning on doing a dark pattern full body wrap, and black wheels would have gotten lost. I'm also using a charcoal tinted Raptor liner for bumpers and sliders, and it pairs really well with this wheel color.

Standard Method 703 wheels, 4.5". May look wider due to the LT kit.

Not an option but maybe you should consider bronze so they stand out a bit more. Bronze wheels are underrated.
