If I went with the CB/NX 500, I'd have to put spoked wheels on it(and that pushes it close enough to the Transalp). It's purely a looks thing for me. I have no doubts that I'd never have a problem out of the factory cast wheels......I just want the looks of spokes

Damn. Half price of what I figured. That gives me something to think about. Now the question would be is it worth 2K more for the Transalp to get the color(depends if we get a white NX), doubleish HP/TQ and only 30ish more pounds.

 

Once the NX hits I wouldn't be surprised to see the 500X used market drop prices a bit, so you could possibly come in quite a bit under the TA.

There were white ones in certain years.

 

I've cleaned enough bugs off visors, took a glancing blow from a falling branch, hit a bird (not to the head but anything is possible) at 120, that the concept of no helmet on a motorcycle is equal to no helmet in space. Just riding without gloves weirds me out.

 

I'll throw a cheap part on in a heartbeat, but that's one thing I'd make sure came from a reputable place

If those are from years that had the 17" front, can you put a 19" on and it still work? Do all year plastics fit, or did they change throughout the years? I'm not that well versed in the CB500X. I liked it just enough to consider it an option

I think the plastics from 2013-2015 are interchangeable. The changes in 2016 might have been enough to vary it, though, maybe they'd work between? In 2019 they changed them up a bit and I know they wouldn't work anymore. Then in 2022 they updated more, but I think the plastics would still work 2019-2024.

Thing is, you might be able to get the white ones from a euro bike for cheap. Who knows.

I wish there were more green. It's mostly black, and I don't like that, but I knew it was the right bike to get me back on two wheels.

Si. Mine is a 2022 and that was the only color they brought to the USA. That's the other oddity of the CB500X, honda makes them in 3 colors but only ever gives the US one of them.
