I thought I would share what I found out.

I have been discussing with Kenwood suport these past few days on how to customize the start-up screen.

Here's what you should do:
1. Connect USB that contains your custom background ( for my test, I use a background with 480 x 234 pixels)
2. enter setup mode by:
- holding both SRC+EJECT and while holding it press the RESET button
- wait for the screen that displays:
- Kenwood Image
- OEM image
3. Select OEM Image
4. Select the file that you wanted to be the start-up screen, hit ENTER
5. You will be back to the screen described in (2)
6. Turn OFF unit by holding SRC
7. Turn ON unit by pressing SRC

The unit should start up with your customized background

bought some 3/4" Clear lens LED marker lights on ebay and drilled a 3/4" hole and they pop right in... ran the wires inside the tubbing to the center then ran them up through the engin compartment and spliced them in with the running lights

I love the amber light on the ends of the avid light bar. Question though... are they wired to be your turn signal as well? If not, that would be awesome. Hoping to land an avid light bar soon. I was also considering the placement to be in the middle. The only difference is that I would get rectangular lights instead of round ones. Looks good. The head unit is nice too. Good job.

 

tryed to get some head light pics..... not easy to bright... these are just the running lights no HID headlights or fog lights.... just running lights the 4 white LED running lights the halo's aroound the projector and my new LED running lights on end of light bar

Can you post the image that you have on the DNX5120? So I can download it and put it on mind! I have the same headunit too
