Any 3rd gens with the swing out have a measurement of the back of the tailgate to the outside of the spare? (If that makes sense) I’m curious how much length it adds to the truck

Does anyone have a pic of the bedside brackets installed?

I have a mobtown rear bumper, which is cut higher, and I need brackets to stop the bedsides from flapping.

    It does, thank you!

Looks like my bedsides might be cut too high for this to work... but I also wonder if I can modify the bracket or attachment point enough to work.

Does it cut out the little crease on the bedside? If I remember correctly mine mounts like right above that I think

Ahh yeah that’s a close call. I strongly feel like you would be able to make it work but wouldn’t want to say for sure. I don’t have tools with me at work right now but I think you can slightly raise/lower the support where it mounts in the bedside. You could probably drill the holes out a bit worse case I think. Maybe @At The Helm can chime in.

Looks like the cut line is is too high to make the brackets work with your mobtown bumper. The part that bolts to the bedsides would be about 1.5” below your cut line.

Received my bumper last Friday, super happy with the experience and the upgrades Morgan was able to add upon request. For now it is a one of a kind, so thanks Morgan dealing with the back and forth PMs. I will get some pics posted up in the next few weeks. Looking for the right coating but not powder $$ or steel-it $$$ I want to be able to repair the major scratches without stripping and re-finishing. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I used 3 coats of self etching primer then then 3 coats of rust-oleum spray on bed liner. Just make sure that you only do 3 light coats of the primer and no bed-liner in the interior brackets that install onto the truck. Morgan is very precise about tolerances and it is tight. Putting too much on that area will make it difficult to install.

Well thanks to @greenEFSI for the visual encouragement to get this bumper. His truck looks so good and he did a great install on @BVita ’s old truck. Ordered mine this week and can’t wait to get it!!

Not quite done but super happy with my experience and love the quality of this bumper. Had Morgan make some mods for me and I added a few myself. he is an artist.PXL_20240317_011015260.jpg

@crashngiggles how many cans of rustoleum did it take to do 3 coats on the bumper?

I used about 4 cans of each. I did 3 coats of self etching primer and then 3 coats of the rustoleum bed liner. I retrospect, I would have done 4 -5 if I could have. The prep work is the tedious part. Make sure you coat evenly and only do 1-2 thin coats of primer with no bed liner on the inside of the brackets that go to the frame. Morgan's tolerances are superbly tight.

Thanks for the details! I bought 4 cans of primer and 6 cans of the bed liner. Just wanted to make sure that would be enough. How long has it been since you painted it and how’s it holding up?
