Ridge grapplers are awesome tires, I ran them in 37’s in my old Jeep and they were quiet , balanced well and looked good. I just got the new falken at4ws but was debating on the nittos as well.

    Just some stuff...
From what I’ve read the at4ws are supposedly much heavier. Is that true?

I don’t notice a weight difference driving vs the duratracs they replaced. I don’t have any experience with the at3w’s though to compare.

Anyone running Dirt King LCAs? Need to replace the lower control arms and I've already gone through 2 sets of generic ones, especially after cutting through the originals during to seized bushings

I'm not, but I'm about to replace my original OEM LCAs (220K miles with 33-34" tires) with new OE Toyota LCAs and all new cam bolts/nut plates. Also adding a Marlin Crawler Cam Tab Gusset kit.

Wondering why you've already gone through 2 sets of LCAs. What failed? Were they aftermarket or OEM?

The original lower control arms bushingson the driver side seized last year so I had to cut through the arm to cut it off. Now the cam tab on the front side of the arm is bent on passenger side so the front side of the lca so it can't be adjusted without ratchet strapping it, what was done today to get in alignment.

So might as well get 2 lcas instead of just replacing one

Nothing wrong with a 4runner. At least you know that has a good reliable 4.0 powertrain. Wish I could get my wife out of her Ford suv into a 4runner or a Rav4. Best wishes on the new ride. I know you will still miss that Taco but I am sure you got a good price for it.

It was a hard decision to sell the truck. I've been wanting a 4R for a while and decided it was time before they did something crazy with them. Also making it easier is the fact that my son has a 2021 Tacoma and lives nearby. So, if I need a truck, I know where to find one. I bought my wife a Rav4 a few years ago and we just got one for my DIL. They both love them.

I had mine cut off & replaced them with OEM. If I had to do it again I’d go aftermarket but my toytec coilovers required OEM lca. Did you have to replace the eccentrics on that side? It sounds like you didn’t have too. I think if you’re buying lcas get aftermarket without a doubt. Also maybe consider new eccentrics on both sides for a nice alignment after the upgrade

They are greasable, so it should help your situation. Expensive tho for not really doing anything else besides looking swell!
Just know that to properly grease them you have to loosen the cam bolts first. So make sure you mark your alignment well before getting started.

My elderly parents have a Camry, son has my old 2012 Taco, I drive a low mileage 2008 Taco, just put my grandkid in my old Camry and helped my youngest daughter get a new RAV4 last year. The Toyota transformation is nearly complete.

Sounds like us. When I sold the Tacoma, I also sold my 2011 Avalon with only 53k on it. Beautiful car, but I just didn't use it. We are all Toyota.

My wife and I bought a Ford Explorer ST (3.0L Twin Turbo V6) yesterday and that thing is amazing. She test drove a 4Runner and said it was "too trucky". This is our 3rd Explorer and they've always done very well for our family. She's a little bougie so she loves all of the extra bells and whistles.

After searching a while and not finding, would anyone know the part # for the lock lug socket on a 2015 Tacoma?
How about where to get one other than Toyota?

Which wiring method did you go with….,?

i made the wiring lead with the female connector for the fog relay and the exposed wire on the other end - its still in my console… lol. I read so many posts on this mod I was thoroughly confused which one was best - I like the one that was fuse protected and NOT using a wire splice….

    Nice looking truck btw.

I did the simple "jumper" method on my 2008 2 years ago with a 5.5" wire from the fog light relay to a hot 12v spot in the relay box. Mine doesn't have DRL's. One of my favorite mods and never had a single problem.
