I got distracted cause I had Mal with me and had to keep an eye on her. The road is a 55 I mean 65 pretty close to where I was working.

Interested to hear your thoughts on this! Would be a bad idea to do that on my driveway. Does it harden up like asphalt or will it always be soft?

Not sure, I’ve never had any dealings with it. It was half the price of the same amount of gravel is why we went with it. I don’t see it getting set up like it was but we’ll see. I’ll let you know when it gets hotter.

In my experience it’s softer than asphalt but more firm than uniform gravel. Similar to compacted gravel on a level surface.

How thin is the application layer? 2-3 inches will result in a “soft road” type finish.

I’d guess 4-5 inches. If it don’t hold up we’ll have to do something else. It’s on a hill up and down and leaning to the left as well.

The 2 houses that live up behind me all have 4wd and AWD it's pretty steep. And the guard rails in the Rd help divert water to the ditch.

The millings don't really get "hard". They pack into larger stone good though.

If you have gravel, dirt, millings, filings or anything else on clay? It's just gonna keep disappearing.
It will show up in China before it stops going down into the ground. Until you blacktop it or concrete it... It's just gonna keep rutting & sinking. It is the country living way. :)

You can have them come and spray the millings on the summer. It gets real dusty

Took the day to get all my spring maintenance done. Fluids, filters, spark plugs, blades sharpened, deck scraped clean, and zerks greased for the x380. Not pictured, also did tune ups for my weed eater (Stihl FS70R) and chainsaw (Stihl MS180).

Got my porch project posted over in the 50+ thread & that's some work with tractor, excavator & a Vac Truck. Lmao

In the middle of that? Wife's jeep went on the fritz & no in the middle of a "thermostat" change.

Guess what? It ain't like the old 2 bolts & pull the e top on our vehicles of youth. NOPE.
This is actually listed as an 8hr mechanics repair & is $1,065 at the local shop.

This type of repair/work is usually pretty cheap in our area, but once I watched a couple videos?
Oh my. I've pulled & replaced motors in less time than it takes to do this thing.

Its one of those sideways against everything & with a zillion things in the way. With a lot of home mechanic experience & all good tools to go with videos seeing other people do it.....

Wow that was still not fun to get out. Gonna put it back together today. It's not just the thermostat, its the censor & housing with all the connections as well. It was only $45.... But holy crap what a job.
    '
    We"ll see how it goes.

I was greasing loader and cleaning up the tractor this morning and I found the sale tag they had posted on the tractor when I bought it. I'll be making my 72nd payment on April 1st. I thought it'd be interesting to post as we've had some folks in the market for a tractor recently to see where we were 6 years ago. I financed $21k at 0% for 72mo, and wrote a check for $4862.80 to cover the taxes and the implements I bought with it, 60" finishing mower, 60" brush hog, 60" box blade. So all-in I paid $26K.

According the info from the Kioti website, the lift capacity is 1830#, not the 1930# in the picture.

Nice! & Much like Kubota.... Kioti underrates their hydraulics.

While I cant get it real high in the air? Mine budges 2200lb of the ground with no trouble.
Enough to move around for sure.
