I have held off on getting an FFL because of that lol.

 

Here is looking up the hill, my driveway is about 2/10 of a mile up on the right.
Again the photo doesn't really show how steep it is.
He was able to spin the excavator around and deposit the dirt on the other side widening the road.
Nobody has gone over in my time here, if they do it ain't gonna' end well, it is a steep drop.

Regular readers know my cooking skills are -- mediocre at their finest...

I just made bacon in the oven for the first time, 15 minutes at 400 degrees on parchment paper - I impressed myself.

The things you learn on the internet.

 

Extra thick cut does great at 400 for 20 minutes on foil wrap up and toss without cleaning the sheet pan.

save the grease for making homemade gravy...not healthy by any means but really good. Only need maybe a couple tablespoons

 

Or cook your egg accompaniment and eggs in it the way it's supposed to be done.

 

This one is actually .22 Mag so it’s going to be loud. If I miss the blast will probably cause a heart attack anyway

 

This morning I threw some deer chunks in the @Hunterdc1 never-fail marinade.
I keep this magnet mounted to the fridge, pasted below for your convenience.

"I'll pass along my father in laws recipe, I've said it before he speaks fluent meat.
If you're looking for a new steak marinade, giver a shot...

This is for 2 steaks, in a flat marinade pan let them sit an hour or so in fridge
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup worchester sauce
1/8 soy sauce
Rounded tbsp brown sugar
Salt + pepper
1tsp apple cider vinegar

Obviously after you've added these items flip your steaks a few times to coat evenly.

The vinegar will tenderize your meat but start to break down your fat if you let it sit too long(all day)"

 

The brown sugar really lets you get a nice crisp edge coat on your meat and I love that.
