(40yrs working on concrete floor at work). going to go next week and do a laser treatment. best way to describe nerve damage is from the ball of the foot out to all toes feels like your arm when you sleep on it wrong and goes to sleep. 24/7 numb tingling feeling. and pain after working 12hrs till im limping out of work sometimes.

mines called Mortons Neroma. basically the nerves to the toes get mashed together and no real cure except cut the nerves then toes are numb for life. i dont want that. ill let you know how it comes out. said we would know after 2 or 3 treatments.

YEP all that weight pushing down & no lateral support meant that it buckled the basement wall on that side. Had a basement conctractor come & i beam it with springs a few years back. its not moved any more. but now my wife wants it fixed "back to factory".

while all this was going on the porch continued to move/shift & the foundations for it busted as seen in pix.
fast forward to now: she wants me to save the concrete porch. i poked some holes in the foundation for access & looked it over.
had a structural engineer in the plant draw me up some load & beams. he went with 6" W15 beams with 5 supports under each. The supports are 4" pipe w/1" bolts as jacks.
THat will give me adjustability if/when the clay shifts anymore on the porch... just 1 of these would lift the weight of the whole thing (about 12,000lbs was his figure).

The plan is after ive got the "filling" out from under there & the jacks all in place, going to dig a relief space against the wall of the house the length of the porch & allow that wall to come back out. will then fill it with large D-rock.

later the porch will get skirted with Vinyl fence panels. This will give easy access, adjustability if needed & drastically reduce the weight. Of course the wife gets all new flower beds out of this deal.

now if this goes wack? & the concrete breaks? then will tear it all off, trench it & build a new porch deck, but it wont be concrete. i really wanna save this concrete porch.

think thats the bulk of it. This will not be a quick thing. it took me 2 days to get this far & im toast today. If anyone is interested, will try to do more pix as it goes.

Edit note: if you look at picture #3 you will see how much it had dropped. ive got it pretty level right now. was about 1.25" on that front corner.

Exactly the plan at the start & then she decided she wants to keep the concrete if possible.

If the concrete busts during this process it all just comes off & then the same beams are the under support for engineered decking/framing.

With how much I was able to level it with just the back beam.... The front beam will be easier.
Right now the hold up is the MPW vac truck guy, which is how was gonna get that gravel out from under there without all the hand/bucket/crawl work.

a few miles north-other side of Rt 33 and on the backside of the mountain to the top,rain helped a ton.state line is on top of the mountain so its on the WVA side mostly, started down toward Brandywine Lake.
