Good morning, fellers and lovely ladies. It's a soggy dark and chilly rain outside here in the Mid-Atlantic. I feel like I'm back in the PNW !

The dude that sold me the dead Fox mt bike fork is stopping by to return my money and take his item back. It sucks that the fork was dead, I was really looking forward to running it to the Stumpjumper.

There's the Garage and Workshop thread, lots of good DIY projects and a few pro's that lend information. Then there's The- OZ... goodness, that guy is a skilled craftsman. I thank Susan for turning me on to that thread.

I LOL'd at the 4th gen comment. What a bunch of wankers ( for the most part) Social- status buyers... It was hysterical at some the garbage that was being posted after TFL broke their Taco while lightly snow wheeling.

GF ? I haven't cruised through ever thread on the site.. the Dumbgeon can be good for a laugh, and the green room is always a chuckle to read about who's been given a VACAY. I never would have suspected that the MODS had to put up with so much BS.

As many of you have been very supportive of my hunt for a new job, and know I had an interview with a hiring Manager on Tuesday this last week, I promised to give an update when I had one.

Unfortunately, the Manager decided I wasn't what he was looking for, and so that's the end of the road for that position. The search continues..... This shit is getting a bit depressing at this point. :annoyed:

Sorry Tom, can’t imagine the frustration, hang in there. I remember the 70’s and 80’s, couldn’t buy a job.

I thought the interview went very well. Found out the Manager had gotten laid off same time I did (last October), he just started at this company and was tasked to build a brand new Major Incident / Problem Management team from scratch, which is exactly what I had just done at my previous company.... and he said he is hiring 2 Major Incident people based in the US, not just one person, so I really thought I had a great chance. And since the HR person had already shared my salary request with him, I figured that must obviously not be an issue (as it had been with the position I interviewed for a couple weeks back). I just can't figure out what the hell these people are looking for...........

So my wife and I did a thing, not that. We have been looking at getting into a T4R, but prices are nuts. We’re going to hang on to the Subie and put a hitch on it, for now. We did write a big fat check today and we are dept free for the first time in our lives. My kid is loving it, so are we. Neither of us are college graduates, but we managed to get her through it.

Just wish it didn’t take 50 years

It’s lower insurance costs with younger employees, unfortunately
