Maybe not immediately because dealers will be greedy bastards but eventually you’ll be able to get one at that MSRP or even lower.

Current Ford owner detailing problems, but would "buy another one in a heartbeat". At least Toyota fanboys have some reason to be (for now). I am still waiting for my frame to rot out from under me, BTW. Ford fanboys will continue to buy the Ranger Raptor at $65K+ way out into the future. No matter if it explodes under their feet. But, that is just my jaded opinion.

More like my expectation of buying anything in the foreseeable future needs adjusting.

If I were younger, I could and would wait this insanity out. But I am running out of time and would like to complete my travels with a more capable machine. Window is getting smaller. It is what it is.

So ~5,000 Ranger Raptors? About 10% if they sell 50,000 this year. Seems like that would be enough to satisfy demand.

How many Pros and THs will be made? Toyota says they will only make 5,000 First Edition Land Cruisers (implying that is a limited number). I'm guessing they will make way more than 5,000 each Pros and THs, say 7,500+ of each. Since the two sort of compete against each other, 15,000 Pros/TH should be enough to satisfy demand without heavy markups?

With market adjustment the average Pro and TH will be 70 grand all day long.

R Raptor vs Pro/TH is 57K vs 63K(est) MSRP or 67K v 70K with markups. Depending on where you live. how far you are willing to drive, and how well you negotiate the delta is about 5K.

A Lariat with FX4 and Tow is 51K and an OR with Upgrade is 49K (no leather which Lariat has) or 53K for the Premium (softex + ventilated seats which isn't an option on Lariat). In other words, they're both about 50K.

So if you want an middle/upper midsize it will cost you about 50K.

If you want a top end midsize, the Ford will be about 5K less but it sounds like R Raptor production may be less than Pro which would drive average markups higher. Maybe only a 3K advantage.

Regardless of whether the Raptor or Pro/TH is a better deal, they're 60K vehicles. Sounds like most people want 45-50K (or less) vehicles.

All that extra power and the raptor loses 2000lbs of towing capacity

I’m sure the same people mad about the hybrids towing only 6000lbs will lose their minds about the raptor only towing 5500

$49K vs $53K are both about 50K? Nice fan boi math. In my world that $4K savings equals a set of winter wheels and tires and a couple years of fuel. o_O

    49k vs 51k

    51k vs 53k

Both of those comparisons are definitely in the same price range (~5% variation)

If you quote me correctly, it was 49 vs 51 and 51 vs 53 and to get the "savings" you have to give up something.

Hard to do apple to apple with the packages. The 51K Lariat has leather which the 49K OR does not have. There isn't a stand alone leather/softex upgrade for the OR. You can go aftermarket and get custom color and perforated leather for less than 2K. Or you can spend 53K for the Premium. Now you are 2K more than the Lariat but have ventilated seats which are n/a on the Lariat and you would not be able to aftermarket add for 2K.

With Ford you can find dealers willing to order the truck you want at 3% below invoice with no BS. Can’t find that on Toyota. Period.

Did Toyota corp. manage to get the new trucks out of the impound lot yet?
