Nitrogen is done at full shock extension.

I filled mine at full extension, then checked them after on the truck compressed, and use that going forward and fill once on the truck so they are easier to install.

You can install, then fill at full extension as well. That’s my preferred method.

After doing this myself, I would gladly pay someone for them next time. Such a pain in the ass.

I own a shop and do these all the time and I'd still rather pay somebody to do them  Usually one of my employees gets the honours.

So I spoke to my local powdercoat shop and they said they do not do a primer when coating steel products. They only do a one layer coat.

They only use zinc or epoxy primer when doing cast aluminum.

It is going to depend on shock length, size, ride height etc. For my King 2.5 12" smoothie I do 175 when mounted. King recommends 150-200 uncompressed.

Run far away. Zinc primer is ONLY for steel. Epoxy is universal and all steel exposed to the elements should be primed. Period.

Yeah I was kinda amazed when they said they don't primer for steel. Really weird. I'll look for a new place to get coated.

Also, what do you guys do to weld on parts when they are covered in surface rust?Is OSPHO something I need?

Media blasting is your best bet to clean them up for welding

About two months away from finishing my back half build. Dual triangulated on 18" coilovers. The last big component I haven't purchased yet is the sway bar. Still dialing in the width I need based on some of the cage, fender, and storage details. Is there anything else out there worth exploring beyond anti-rock?

Just looked them up. What do you like about them?
Pricing is about the same as anti-rock. Looks like these may have a bit more adjustability with the modular arms?

Excellent customer service, more options for stiffness configurations with diameter and arm length, and a cleaner appearance.

And if you have 400$ to blow, the max flex links are neat.

When you say. Customer service, are you referring to troubleshooting and getting replacement parts, or was it with the initial purchase, speaking to someone who knew their stuff and was able to help spec out a proper setup for you? I'll give them a call either way Monday. Appreciate the recommendation.

I asked about remote battery shutoffs a while ago. Finally wired in a blue sea ml-rbs. Just using the original battery shutoff as my “momentary” switch. And I wired it up so the unit cuts the ground rather than the pos. Confirmed with blue sea ahead of time that the unit would allow that.

Other units pull 12v+ off the battery input so you can’t wire it that way.
