does anyone know where I can get a 2012-2015 gen 2 Tacoma 2 door window master switch ( within reason) ?
4 door crew cab Tacoma master window switches can be had for $25
the 2 door access cab master switch is $350 and up ( criminal racketeering prices )
I exhausted the search, there is a company called "switchdoctor" but they cannot be contacted to ask about how an average human can petition the Supply Chain gods about obtaining this extremely rare and valuable switch

Lowest price on Car-parts.com is $30.00 used.

Edit: Hillsboro Auto Wrecking lists one for $40.00

The auto down is controlled in the master switch, no 2nd gen had auto up windows and auto down was only on the drivers front and only on 12-15 models.

I thought about buying the $25 double cab one and trying to take it apart and swap the parts I need into my Access cab switch, but haven't gotten a round tuit

Ah I was thinking that wasn't added until 2012, I know the 12-15 switch is pinned differently than the 05-11 switch.

It's for DC, but the 2012 - 2015 kit is for auto-up and down. What does the passenger side look like on the pre-2012?

You can get only the passenger side, which will solve half of the problem, assuming the DC and AC passaner are the same. Auto Up/Down switches Code: RS7P takes 7% off as well.

thanks for the help everyone !
I ended up taking it out, loosened the screws so air and electrical cleaner spray could pass then cleaned it with compressed air and it works perfect for now.
I just sprayed stuff at it and got lucky.
It appears there are no contacts to clean
the rocker switch paddle on this version is just a lever that activates a series of sealed button microswitches that are installed in a complex electronic circuit board.
It can't be Non-destructively disasembled to clean the corroded brass contacts like the earlier version
I am OK at disassembling this kind of thing, but I would not try it on this one, I am pretty sure it would have broke all the snap tabs and get totally destroyed, so I cleaned out the dust and grit that may have been interfering with how the rocker lever contacts the sealed microswitch

I considered that option also, may work on a gen 1 , but this one looks different
If you find a way to disassemble it let me know.
even just to clean out the grit
step one would be trying to disassemble the push-on/push off window lockout switch, there may be a way but then it wont get me anywhere but to a circuit board
    I could be wrong but
I noticed the microswitch array in a youtube video where some guy claims he fixed a corroded circuit path on the board from a similar one on a car
This one looks totally unserviceable using a series of sealed microswitches on a panel instead of the old brass contacts
it would be like disassembling a laptop computer for parts LOL

It appears that the auto down feature was designed only auto down and is controlled by a complex electronic circuit board that is inside the single integrated master switch component
The Master switch sends a signal that activates small relays in the door that then feed power to the window motors, so that is another thing that can malfunction and make one think its the switch or motors
I long ago diagnosed and replaced a similar relay that burned out on the wifes 90's Toyota Celica sunroof , dealer said new window motor and labor $600(like $1600 in todays post covid reset currency), I was able to find a tiny relay (back when they still had electronics stores) unsolder it from the circuit board and resoldered it

The switch started acting erratic again. I took it apart again down to the circuit board and it looks like there is a wore out slide switch,
I finally found a reasonably priced new aftermarket switch ($27)
It is advertised on Amazon as for a Tundra and says it will not fit Tacoma. I tried it and it works perfect, plugs right in, looks exactly the same . https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CHMVF8JK?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details

BTW, this one is auto UP and DOWN on driver side
    OEM was auto down only
this was the only difference I have noticed

Thanks! Installed mine today. Looks and works perfect!

I mean I didn't 'need' an auto up function, but it's nice to have for $30. :D
