You can turn your prv up. Those hoses and seals are prolly rated over 3k but I don’t know much about the red or orange tractors.

 

Yeah, that's an option on the Kioti. There are several videos on YT that show how to do it. I've not done it, as my hydro will outlift the counterbalance I currently have available now, so I don't need more. I have plans to build a proper 1200# counter weight box that will increase the what the tractor can lift. Once I have that, I might adjust the pump flow up a bit.

my counterweight box is only #650lbs loaded, but then got another 350lbs total in the two back tires... puts it at about 1k of counterweight. That covers me at max lift pretty good.

 

Better look to your manual more. 650 lbs is barely enough ballast for a scut. Loaded tires help but they’re not counterweight.

 

More tractor for less than what I paid for my Kubota

 

My back tires are loaded with about 500# of beet juice, and my heaviest implement is the brush hog at about 700#. But the brush hog is very long and difficult to use in tight spaces. With the box blade which is about 350# I've still managed to lift the back off the ground. I want a build a box that will only add a couple feet to the back, but have more ballast than the brush hog. I figure 1200# will be more than sufficient to do the job. Given you only have brakes in the back I want to make sure the tires stay on the ground!

 

Like KR said... Most of my implements are between 500-700lbs. 650lbs hanging 2' behind me has been plenty for a ton in the bucket or on the forks. Still got hanger holds that could ad more weight if needed but cant really pick up anymore than that on the front anyway.

Kioti & Kubo's are fairly rear heavy right out of the gate. Especially these newer models like we have.

Roll around weight for me is about 4,850lbs.

 

Been through ballast plenty so I won’t be the disruptive one here. If it feels good, run it. My goal isn’t to be a know it all but spread awareness that a lot of people don’t have enough ballast when they think they do just because their tractor weighs x amount. Just being a friend here. Not trying to ruffle no one’s feathers. BTW scrap steel makes awesome ballast

Are you using a backhoe to dig those stumps out? Or the loader? Looks like I can rent a 9500lbs excavator for a weekend for $1100. Have 12 more big trees to cut down and then plan on digging them all out.
