    Hey Everyone,

I could use your help! I am looking at purchasing a AC with 2.7l, 5 speed, and 4x4 from Russel Toyota in Baltimore. I live in Indiana and will be making quite a trek if this deal actually goes through.

I was wondering if any of you have dealt with Russel Toyota and how that went?

Not sure about that dealership, but I highly recommend Price Toyota in New Castle, DE. They are the #1 Toyota dealer in the area, which includes Baltimore I believe. Call Jonathan at Price Toyota and he will work with you via the phone or internet. I got a super deal from them and it would be worth your drive.

Russel is like 10 minutes form where I live. they always seem to be overpriced.

They are one of the larger dealers in the area and do a lot of advertising on TV.

I have never had any dealings with them, but they have been in business for many many years, so they must be doing something right.

I bought mine from Price. It was the easiest car buying experience ever. I worked with Oscar...the deal was done completely online. I highly recommend them also!

If you live in Indy ,why would you not go to a Indy Toyota? I am sure the local Toyota dealership in Indy would have truck shipped to Indy?

There is a huge savings in MD, including the travel time and gas out there. It will still be better than here in Indy. I've been working with two dealers and because the truck isn't on their lot they give me the BS they can't work much on the price because of all the costs to ship it. I'm sick of them so I'm just cutting the middleman.

How can that be much of a savings if you have to pay Maryland sales taxes, which is the highest in the nation?

I am suspicious of your posting here that is why I am asking you these questions. I look at your old postings and I am not sure about you.

Hahaha ok feel free to ask questions! What do you think I am trying to do though?

I am looking at buying my first truck, so please forgive my naivety if it seems that way. Indiana sales tax is 7%. MD is 6%, according to wikipedia. If there is something I am missing, please help fill me in. I am trying to become an educated buyer, please don't mistake that.

I am getting more information from the dealer, but unless there are a bunch of hidden things, Russel's price on cars.com is far better than anything around me.

You only pay the sales tax for the state it's registered in.
