Well the problem is that torsion bar anchoring the bottom end of the steer tripod.

Although the upper control arm can swing a little........that lower torsion bar that is only on the 5 lugs greatly limits much movement.

Its the same exact system used on most all unibody independent rear suspensions...

    Tiny adjustability....

I agree, found a tech at Americas tire willing to do a proper shim job lol, and he dialed it better than I’ve ever had anyone get it before, first pic is before, he aligned toe first. Had to bring it back a second day with a set of shims as he isn’t by “supposed” to shim nor do they do it regularly at americas tire I guess. Second pic is after the shims.

Have been dealing with some odd creaking/groaning in the front end at low speeds while turning; pulling out of parking spot or turning in parking lots. Suspect it’s these radius/torsion bushings, which was why I originally found this thread. It’s either that or some bad upper control arms although I replaced them with moogs ~2 years ago.

This is the rack for the rwd 5luggers....

Rack and Pinion 80-00714 an (buyautoparts.com)

There are just as many if not more rwd out there than the 6luggers/4wd's

Its just toyota builds these so good......its mostly the 4wd's with oversized tires that are giving the replacements for 4x4's a run for the their money....

Me myself just bought the energy suspension kit....
burned out the center sleeve out of that original vertical bushing....and just shaved down the E.S. vertical one so it wasnt so tall...
to fit that burnt bushing center sleeve, and made it fit perfectly....

That big donut one on passenger side isnt so important.....its suspose to give a little....with no flop...

its the vertical one that goes to sh^t.....

If you let the UCA and/or LCA bushings get worn out, it has a cascading effect on all the other local bushings in that area.....

Ya replaced rack with a remanned and a mushy bushing. Made the truck wander a bit and had slop on the left side of center of the wheel. Replaced with this doorman part from Rockauto, seems to have cut out 90% of the slop only moves maybe a millimeter or two either way. Didn’t replace the donut cause didn’t wanna go thru all the extra work and that one isn’t that important like you said.
