    Cut the bulbs from the plastic base with the Dremel

    I just saw your post, ran down to my truck to try it out and, eureka!!
    There are two things I'm happy about, besides losing that irritating warning:
    1. It can be undone in 20 seconds if need be.
    2. I know it won't affect the airbags or who-knows-what by disconnecting wires.

    I used to do this on my vehicles, then I looked under the seat of my Tacoma and saw all those wires, figured I'd pop an airbag if I mess with them. Glad there is a better way to disable the chime...

    Which one? A 120v or a 12v? I added a 12v. Not that hard. A 120v though requires a bit more work.

    12v is just an outlet from Wal-Mart riveted to one of the bed pockets. Ground wire to the frame, 12v wire run to the battery with a fuse. Hardest part is routing the wire from the battery to the bed.
