Nice! Any lines on a new bike, or still just browsing around?

Got offered a 2014 RMZ-450 for my bike.. Kind of tempted. If it was plated and street legal already I may have said yes. I'd be interested in the right dual sport, but not sure I really want a kickstart only 450.

It'll just end up being another bike you'll have to sell.

Yeah, I told him no, it'd just be another project or another bike I don't have the time to take out to the trails. Plus I'm already planning on what I'll buy when I sell the bike.. tool cabinet, different pc case, some lego, and maybe a bike lift for the newly freed up space in the garage :D I already bought the wife her "push present" from having the kid last week, so I'm good there haha :anonymous:

I picked up a used Harbor Freight bike lift table several years ago for $200 and it's been an awesome addition to my garage. Used it for my bikes, to work on my mower and snowblower, as a work table for sawing wood and drywall and even as an extra table for a yard sale. Watch Craigslist or FB Marketplace you might get lucky.

Working out the little quirks of any 25 year old bike, but man is this thing absolutely incredible - I couldn't have asked for a more perfect bike for my use case, the research and diligence before pulling the trigger paid off big time! (ft. Lowe's motorcycle-only parking spaces again)

Similar temps here yesterday, chilly but sunny and not a cloud in the sky. I got out for a couple hours and about 120 miles. Love the heated liner - I just need to remember to unplug before getting off the bike ha

That's why they use that coax style plug, so it will unplug if you forget it.

I'd been wanting one for a long time and kept putting it off. I got lucky in that I was talking with our welder here at work about them and he mentioned having one he had bought for his FIL who had since passed away and so it was back at his place and kind of in his way and never being used. It had been sitting outside but under roof and was really sun faded but everything functioned it just needed a good clean up. I repainted it before putting it into use.

There's just not a lot of them available, especially not the latest iteration, 2022+. That's what I keep my eyes open for, but there aren't many. And I'm not ready to pounce on one yet, anyhow. But I seriously can't wait.

    what lol

I find overseas chocolate to be MUCH richer, personally. american chocolate is sweeter, but fake sweet not quality sweet. Just picked up a friend from the airport yesterday and she brought back some swiss chocolates for me...absolutely divine

Depends what you want it for tbh. Just a little ripper around town, it'll be a blast. or as a track toy.

Wouldn't get it if you needed it over 70mph regularly lol. I said, as I just rode it on my freeway commute to work today

Dude...tell me about it. wanted to ride all weekend, went to OC Cars and Coffee and it started drizzling on us in 15 mins so we headed home. Then Sunday was just looking stormy and wind blowing hard all day long so I skipped.

then the weeks are perfect weather wtf

    then you've hit the jackpot

I've accepted mine will be a loss when I sell it, considering all the OEM takeoffs when I rebuilt it were pretty much thrashed. If I get lucky, it'll be with someone new to the track who wants one pretty built out, and I'll be very lucky to get $5k. at this point I'm just planning on keeping it as long as it'll live lol

Parting out will definitely help. I'd definitely list it as is, you never know. Some people will be happy to pay a little extra for mods they don't want to deal with the hassle of installing themselves.

In other news, idk who cares or if anyone does but my excitement won't let me not share lol. had an absolute BLAST at Chuckwalla on Friday, and finally got my knee down! First time was quite alarming, then I was getting it regularly.

Strangely enough, I tapped my knee for the first time with my left, but the first real drag and subsequent easier drags were with my right...which is opposite to most people but whatever works I guess lol. Already looking at booking another one lol. R3 performed great, and was extremely confidence inspiring. Bridgestone RS10 tires handled splendidly, and I even managed to keep it out of the dirt entirely this time!

really? i tend to like overseas chocolate a lot more buuut i also dont eat much of it so maybe i can stand it more? idk!

that is true id probably rip around town and ride it to work because tbh it cant be worse then my dirtbike... but im still very in-between a sportbike i ran ride around or another trail toy... i know why buy two things that do the same thing but idk lol i also like it because its cheap af! get some new plastics and it would be a blast to ride i feel like!

thats how i feel tbh haha we are planning a trip for her to come up next month!

tbh thats probably for the best since yours is pretty beaten up but for someone looking to get into track racing and having it basically turn key ready for it you might be able to get like 3k for it but at the same time why not just keep it since im sure its cheap af to own.

hey now...only the fairings are beat up now, everything else is pristine and brand spanking new lol. Those will get swapped eventually after the first tumble.

It's definitely a decent bike to ride around town, and don't get me wrong it'll do freeway speeds fine. Just a bit weak for overtaking, and quite an adjustment compared to my BMW that I normally daily lol. But it def doesn't need to be a trailer toy. and parts are very cheap.

imma reply to you later after business hours today so you have to look at them

haha true but the last time i remember seeing it the bike had no plastics on it so thats all i remember haha sorry!

ya thats what i figured is it would be fine on highways speeds but id imagine overtaking is better then my bike haha since it has a little bit more power then a drz but who knows atm ill keep my cash that i have and focus on my truck and get some things squared away on it before i go and buy another bike tbh.
