Hey! Looking to secure my traction pads via some sort of locking mechanism. Pads are secured below the rear window as shown in pic. Lock to the rack? Bed? Open to suggestions! Thanks!

Sadly, my pins are not the ones with the holes in them. They are solid :(

If you buy a header rail, you can direct mount with t nuts and threaded rod. This was all done from $10 worth of threaded rod, bolts and plastic caps from Ace Hardware:

I have mine mounted in the same place as yours and just run a cable with lock through the hole in the traction boards and through the bed tie down.

Crap, I just realized you already have them mounted. Maybe cable? Honestly, mine have been on for a year or so with no lock and no issues.

Stock with a camper shell for now.
I wonder how wide the traction boards are put together because my thought was when I purchase some is to take some old bed cleats apart and use the t lock and plastic thread twist piece to fasten them to rail system in the bed I don’t know if that will work or not.

The thickness of the stacked boards varies depending on brand but they are probably too thick to do what you are thinking. They would also be too high in the bed and probably block some of the window. I bolted two strips of aluminum flat stock to the bed mounting channel extending to the bed floor then mounted the traction board mounting hardware to them so that the bottom of the traction boards are at the bottom of the bed.
