Hey everyone first post here was hoping everyone could give me some insight as to what tune packs appear to be the best for my particular truck (2015 4.0L V6) Can’t wait to see everyone’s ideas I’ve looked into most of them already but am kinda looking for reviews. The goal is to up the HP as much as possible to run for now until I can afford a supercharger for it. Anyways thanks ahead of time!

I want pics of the Ram Air hood you list in your profile.

A Pontiac term in the 60's, I'm hoping you grafted in scoops from a Judge.

i have the OTT on my 3rd gen and i like it. dont really notice an increase in power according to my butt dyno but im just running 87. If you are chasing hp it might be worth while to get a protune but it will probably be $$$

I’ll definitely take that into consideration before making a decision! Thank you

I 2nd OTT, they seem to be very helpful and will answer any questions you may have.

They also have published dyno tests for their tunes.

I worked with @JustDSM when I put a tune on mine, really good guy to work with.

I am getting OTT next week or so. I’ve been researching tunes for the last several weeks. Not knocking other tunes, but I’ve seen a few posts from people with other tunes who tried OTT and like it better. Conversely, I haven’t seen anyone switch from OTT to a different tune and stick with the new tune. I am sure those people are out there, but I haven’t come across any yet.

It's just my opinion, and I'm in 6mt 5.29 gears. The ott was quite aggressive but had a big dips after shifts. Like it'll just huge at take off and then fall flat. Like there was no follow-up of the initial take off. If my gf drove the truck she hated it. I did all available updates and pedal sensitivity adjustments. In fact I was gonna go back to stock. I talked to a kdmax tuner that worked with me and did a trial tune which I really liked and decided to keep. I let my gf dive it home and she was also very happy how it drove. The best way to describe it is kdmax feels like the tune the truck should have come with from factory.

Interesting. I have never seen anyone else describe that. Perhaps it is limited to manual trannys…?

Anyhoo, I am genuinely glad you got a tune that resolved it. Despite sharing the same underpinnings, every Tacoma is a little different (modifications, weight, driver habits, etc), and not everyone will get the same results from the same tune.

Normal (no heavy pedal input for fun) driving sporting KDMAX PRO10 in Normal mode(a bit of sport+ too), and was blown away at what the gauge read at the 3/4 tank. Country @ 30-45mph and highway @ 68-70mph.

    Super Good Stuff.

I got a 91 cvc tune. Truck hauls ass, runs quieter and smoother, totally worth the extra cost for gas
