When I added 220v to my garage, I only had room in my box for one circuit as well. My table saw and band saw now share it.

After retirement and a relocation, my next shop will have a minimum of 5 separate 220v circuits. Or that is the dream anyway.

Oh I have like 6-7 slots left

I just never thought I'd need more than one 220 outlet

Me either but I ended up adding a sub panel just for my basement workshop!

    Cali, no basements here

But not like I have a big garage...so leasing a shop is a future endeavor

Might add wood working so I like to learn here as much as I can!

My first bandsaw project today. Made out of some scrap 8/4 Walnut that I glued up last night. Learned a few things for sure. Overall pretty happy with the result. Waiting on the flocking kit for inside the drawer to arrive and need to put on another coat of Furniture Butter.

Cool little box. But I think it needs a wood knob or pull. The knob that's on it just doesn’t look right to me. Jmo.

It is a vintage glass button from my late mother in law’s collection. My wife picked it out and the box is for her so….

Fair point. I’ve got pieces that aren’t even big enough to make pen bodies out of but I refuse to toss them

Flocking is fun. I would practice on something first to be sure you have the final product perfect, unless you have done it before. The picture shows a somewhat inconsistent application of the flocking on the larger surface.

Getting the glue laid on and only having 10 minutes to put the powder on is tricky. I got this done but I did not need perfect for my own "gun holder" insert to the side compartment of my nightstand. I apologize if you know this already ...

With all the talk of helical cutter heads along with jointers and planers, check out mywoodcutters.com to order upgrade parts to old equipment. So if you have an old Dewalt planer or Rikon jointer, they can get you shelix or Lux III upgrades. I'm going to upgrade my Ridgid Jointer and planer with some helical cutters since the straight blade cuts large shavings and clogs up my jerry rigged dust collection.

Totally get you on that one. That's why I haven't pulled the trigger on the two that I need for my machines. Hard to justify dropping that amount of scratch in this economy especially when looking at benchtop planers with helix cutters are anywhere from 399 to 999 new but I bet you could find deals online somewhere. I've had my planer and jointer for about 5 years now so I have the choice to either try to sell them at a loss then use that money combined with more money to buy an upgraded machine with a helix or just replace the straight blade cutters with a helix. I haven't sat down and crunched the numbers to see if I can truly save money by swapping cutter heads or just upgrading the whole unit but it's good to know that I have options.

Yep, would be worth it to me to sell mine and get a new one @ $399

That's a risk, I'm unfamiliar with that brand and product reviews are a dime a dozen so I take them with a grain of salt. I'd like to hear some actual real world feedback and not from some bot. It could be the bees knees of planers.

There is a reason I would replace the brakes, even if expensive, on a Tacoma that has otherwise survived my stupidity for 10 years.
