Installed the new OEM rear electronic shocks, new rear brake pads, and a tire rotation on the Sequoia. Now I have to rent a spring compressor to replace the strut on the coilovers. Debating a leveling kit and air bags for the rear of the Taco to keep it level with the camper shell on the back.

Big fan of airbags. They allowed me to run super plush suspension in the rear, but have zero sag when towing my boat. Just make sure that if you off road and have more than stock travel, that you get acks that accommodate that in one way or another so that you don't limit your off road ability or damage the bags. There's a few ways to go about that if it's an issue.

Did you run the Firestone bags or Leveling Solutions bags? I don’t OffRoad my truck yet. Later in life I might but the suspension will be radically changed before then. It’s all street for now.

I had Firestone airbags on mine and they were great. Installed the compressor in the engine bay and installed the controller in the center console. I could adjust on the fly. Daystar cradles can be installed to alleviate the off-road travel concerns. I really liked my firestones.

I used air lift. They're a different style than the firestone ones, and essentially turn inside out when the suspension extends far enough. Firestones are great, but if you have enough travel, you'll need the centering pad that allows only one side of the airbag to be bolted in place.

I've seen a 3rd gen in Easley that is squatted, but its got the big wide wheels. I lifted a 3rd gen for a friend of my oldest son. It's got 24x14 with 35x12.50. Not my taste at all, just helped him out.

He needs airbags to help with all the weight he’s carrying under that tonneau cover. Must be loaded down with bricks for El Chapo

FML removing the coilovers on sequoia sucks. The sensors are bolted to the top hat of the coilover and the engine compartment side was seized in there. Had to drill it out. Hopefully didn’t break the sensor When I removed it. Next time it’s getting extended travel coilovers so I don’t have to deal with this madness again.

Just got the whole car back together and found this on the floor. Fml looks like I get to start over on the second coilover

That's literally the worst. I hate it when I get everything back together, even after double checking everything, finding loose hardware on the floor. Whats even worse is when you end up taking things back apart and finding out that you replaced the old hardware with new and the work you just undid didn't need to be undone. Then you get into your own head wondering if there was something else you forgot or thought you forgot. The worst!

Taking it all apart and installing the washer wasn’t too bad. By the third coilover I got pretty quick with it. It’s all back together. Going to test drive it today. Old struts were toast. Hopefully that fixes the ride quality.

I just found out that Craftsman discontinued the Max Access socket sets. I use mine on every single Toyota project. Anybody have an old set they want to get rid of? IMG_5046.jpg

I was generalizing on every project, not necessarily suspension work. My example came from installing headers. I replaced a few studs with bolts due to clearance issues and I found two loose washers of different sizes. Before I start work, I sweep and clean up the garage floor so I know that it wasn't there when I started. It ended up being the old hardware that I replaced with new hardware but I only found that out after I removed my front skid plate. It sucked.
