I ordered before Christmas so the order didn’t get allocated for 6 weeks. It showed up in June, so 6 month wait.
I like both honestly. I don’t mind larger trucks so size didn’t matter. The engine transmission combo was superb, quiet ride, powerful, love the 36 gallon tank for range. Handled towing nicely. If I could pickup a 402a package Tremor again I would but used ones are still $55-60k.

My local dealership is showing (51) 2024 VINS on its website.

Is that a lot for this point in time?

I think they pump tacomas out like rabbits , so it's probably right...we just are not used to it because of the shortages

We'll be stacked to the tits in no time with Tacos if one dealership in a "non-truck" area like this has 51 allocations already.

Yea, we do trucks here, but mostly SUVs.

Let them clear the early production bugs and wait for inventory to climb through the summer. There should be deals to be had by fall.

Bugs will still be there by summer.

They might be gone next summer, but I’m doubtful.

I mean, there are 2023 Tacoma’s being recalled for shit robotic welds, so who knows how long bugs last.

I used to beta test for a living. I’d rather have the youngsters do it now. :D

And that is the little base motor...wait and see what the 2.7 can do when they start shipping them. Considering its surprisingly quick in the F150 it should be even more so in the little one.

I was very surprised by the results. I felt they sandbagged the Chevy though and TFL has wildly unscientific testing methods. No doubt the 2.7 TTV6 will walk them all though.

It did make me rethink the necessity of getting the 2.7 myself though. Really would come down to cost and MPG for me. Same thing happened for the hybrid vs. non-hybrid in the 4th gen.

I'd say Toyota should put the 3.4TT into the 4G and follow GM and Ford with putting full size engines in their smaller trucks, but then they would want $65k for it.

Or at least the 10spd tranny.

The Ranger hp/tq is almost identical to the Tacoma and it beat the Colorado with 40 more hp and 120 more tq.

On the Bronco, upgrading from the 2.3 to the 2.7 is $2,145. That's likely less than the 3K the iForce Max will cost but the Max also gets you beefier axles, brakes, etc and a 2400w inverter.

On the Bronco the 2.3 has two hp/tq ratings, one with regular and one with premium. Does Ranger have the same engine? Wonder what fuel they were running?

You could always leave a message on the video and ask them.

I guess you could look at it as either way, that little set up is quick, and if they were not using premium its even quicker.
