Where did you get the steelies? Looking to do the same wheels but thinking 255/85/R16. Any rubbing on your 235s? Lift or leveling?
Also, if any one has any info on if your 255/85/R16s are rubbing with no lift or leveling, let me know please!

I have a question regarding the 255/85r16 at4w. I have a 1st gen with a Four Wheel Camper Eagle shell weighing in at ~800lbs. I also have an ARB bumper with winch but no other armer or heavy accessories. I had the at3ws in a 265/75r16 and liked them a lot but want to go tall skinny.

I know the LT255/85r16 size is C rated but the duraspec sidewall seems to be on par with an E rated tire. Does any know if this is going to be sufficient for my load or should I go with an E rated tire like the cooper st maxx? Tire loads are 2469lbs vs 3417lbs respectively.

I asked the guy I bought the camper from about his tire setup and he said his tire guy talked him out of e rated tires and said they were overkill.

Any word on when the At34W will be available in 255/85/16? Im about ready for new wheels and tires and would like to order them at the same time if the wait is t going to be much longer.

They have been available for a bit, a decent amount of people already have them mounted. Unless you’re asking about the backorder issue, that I don’t know the answer too.

They say that on the national website but if I search my local DT, they show as available. Just talk to your local DT.

That’s the issue, I don’t have a local Discount tire. Nearest location to me is 1 hr 37m away.

Got it. We have them everywhere here. I think they are competing with Walgreens and cvs for most locations by a franchise store.

Currently there are no available units for order, even shipped to your door. Falken had a pre release of approximately 80, but now they are on back order. There was a greater demand for the LT255/85R16 than they expected.

Have they given any estimation for delivery of more?

Falken's response has been "back ordered with no ETA". We will continue to contact Falken weekly for more updates.

Dropped by my local Discount Tire today and they called Falken and were able to put in a back order for me for 255/85-16. Falken said estimated delivery is June.

Is anybody able to comment on the impact to braking and mpg with a set of these? I’ve been running 265/75/16 for the last 50k miles, and am wondering if I’d regret going to a 58lb tire.

Are there any tread/sidewall design differences between the SL and E rated tires? Specifically 265/75R16. In many tires, the SL has a toned down tread/sidewall (not just less tread thickness).

I don't think so. I thought I looked into this once before and found that the sidewall designs were the same between the SL & E rated tires. If you find differently, please let me know.

Looks great! Did you do a CMC and/or have to install adjustable control arms to keep from rubbing?

Control arms are a poor bandaid.

Proper offset and some trimming is the way!

I did a VERY mild viper-esque cut, however you can't even tell. I did CMC it myself, it's exceptionally easy to do.

12$ heat gun from HF to help with the fender liners.

Wasn't too hard to do, really.
