No dice on carriage bolts in the front, I’m going to have take off the trans skid and maybe drill new holes or clearance the crossmember a bit, which I don’t care to mess with right now.

I did however get some through bolts furthest back on the frame! Gives me a little extra confidence. I fished a lock washer and nut through an awful access hole with a magnet in a glove at the tip of my finger o_O Might want to open up that hole a little bit to make it easier next time…

From the website they had a few already made before releasing the rock runners so it got here fast. I think the bumper is around 85lbs Didn't notice the front go down any but I just installed and put the truck back in the garage.

Went down to the valley to take a dog we've been fostering to meet a potential new family and take the kiddos to the game and fish expo out at Ben Avery. Never been way out in the West valley, felt like I was in another world.

Also discovered the new river cut off over to lake pleasant and sun city. Felt like fucking Magellan discovering a whole new world.

I think I've cracked the code on getting mud off the truck.... you wait till it's dry and crispy and then smack at it or poke it out of the wheel wells and your undercarriage with a plastic spackle knife or something.:rofl::rofl:

Then you get after it with the pressure washer once the big patties are gone.:p

I just wait till its dry and crispy, and hit it with my wrench while I'm trying to work on something underneath so it falls off directly into my eyes

Looking for opinions and input on recovery gear. I’m looking at the Arb weekender kit with snatch strap with d rings or a bubba rope 7/8 kinetic rope with soft shackles. Truck has 220lbs added weight, 4wd and no lockers. I have knock off max tracks currently and a compressor but no additional recovery gear. I do not have aftermarket bumpers so stock recovery/tow locations

You can't have everything you might need. It is important that you have some things. There is no perfect combo that can prepare you for what happens. Make sure you have a jack.

Soft shackles will work better with stock stuff, and a hitch recovery would work wonders too.
I'd start with quality gear too. Dont skimp.
    Factor55 has good stuff.
I'm a fan of 2 soft shackles, 2 Drings, Snatch rope 20ft and 20ft tow strap. Hitch receiver for the Dring or soft shackle. Is a good start IMO

I went for the bubba rope. I based that off most people seeming to favor the soft shackles simply because of their versatility.

And aroma is pretty spot on. I brought basically everything but the kitchen sink for Moab, used none of it, and still limped back to town with a tire losing air. (I had a plug kit but since I was 1.something miles from the nearest tire shop, I decided to haul ass for a patch.)
Plug is last resort because you ream it thru the cords of the tire which can sometimes make the tire toast as far as using it for the rest of its service life.

Compressor and a good jack. I'm gonna start saving up for one of those fancy pants ARB hydraulic hi lifts maybe.

I have a pretty stacked recovery bag. That I've built up over the years. I've used pretty much everything out of there and sometimes all at once it seems.
However for the snow recoveries and such I've dealt with, we end up using 3-4 soft shackles easy. 1-winch hook, 1-tree strap with snatch ring, 1-to vehicle, 1-extra strap if needed or second snatch ring
I have a older smittybilt 20ft strap I use on cars and other trucks that might not have proper points. I can wrap that around axles, frame etc to create a good point to recover someone from. I also have a winch extension line. Which Ive had to use for some pretty complex pulls. Pulled a Subaru back up a cliff side with a second truck with that.
I always like to add to it. Its that kind of stuff, that you dont need often. However when you do, you really do.
Also 4 ActionTrax metal teeth boards
