What parts can't be used?

I bought a 2004 Taco last week which is twin to the 2001 I have.It was 10 min from me and cheap so I bought it for parts. Reg cab 4x4 2.7 5sp bad frame ,no blow by, good compression engine runs well except for timing chain knock or piston slap at cold start.
So what parts wouldn't interchange with the 01?I know the ECU & TB won't. Anything else?

 

Yeah the throttle body is electronic on 03/04's......and are very expensive....

when the pedal sensor goes out on it.....you cant buy just that sensor.

You're forced into buy the who TB when it goes out.......and it eventually does...

Same with the rear charcoal evap system....thats worth some coin too.

 

I thought only the 3.4L V6 went ETCS in 03/04?

2.7L should have stayed the same?

 

That is a very good question.......
if that is true, that is very good news.

I've been telling others to leave the 03/04's alone because of that TB.

Unnecessary complication....
