After having the 12" King smoothies for nearly 9 months, I'm ready to make the install jump this weekend. The smoothies from Downsouth came uncharged. Before I charge the Kings...should I cycle the suspension while everything is bolted to the BAMF mounts, and have the recommended 1" of shaft showing before I start loose tacking the mounts? Or cycle and do the fit-up after the Kings have been charged? I'm unsure if this makes any difference as far as measurements, but wanted to take the path of least resistance.

I was trying to understand the written directions on the site and it mentioned "shocks are best mounted 90* from side to side and 10 degrees leaning forward". Does this mean the top mount should form a 90 degree with the frame on the left and right side, as I am viewing the wheel well head on? I've seen you should use an angle finder for the shock lean forward which seems easy enough, however the "90* from side to side" bit sounded confusing. I've read all 60 pages or so and I'm still unclear. All the pictures get me excited to get started. TIA

When you look at your axle and shock from behind, they should make a 90 degree angle. Leave them uncharged while you do the fitment work.

i think you might be ok, im running 14" 7100's and the reservoir hose is angled up 30-35*compared to those fox's, I did have to grind a little to make mine clear.

14” short bodies fit without modification in my experience. You just need offset spacers to make the upper mount fit as it is narrower than others like Fox or King. @Chadr7858 used to make some but not sure if he still does. Your Fox 2.0’s should fit but let us know.

Bilstein > Fox everyday of the week for me. I’m waiting for them to release their universal fit zone control shocks. Going to upgrade to those and 8112’s when they are released.

Zip-tied up out of the way, all the way forward. It’s not really needed.

Your truck is way quieter than mine, just the noise from inside the cab covered that. Nevermind the exhaust, tires, etc.
