    Hey guys just trying to see if anyone is making a harness/adapter for the 3rd brake light on a Leer/ARE topper for the 3rd Gens? I don't want to tap into the factory wires if I can help it given how sensitive the electrical system on the truck is (and I've managed to avoid doing that so far with the exception of the illumination circuit for additional switches).

    @Puppypunter @daveeasa are either of you doing this? Thanks in advance.

    Hit up @daveeasa he is taking these over :thumbsup:

    The issue with the brake at the 7-pin is it is a combined brake/turn signal. So depending on which one you tap, when you turn on that turn signal, the brake light will flash also.

    I have made taps for the first gen. What all needs tapped for this Dave? I have parts if it’s just the taps you’re needing, I could make that portion happen and then you can add it to the TAG if that’s what you’re looking to do? Or @ThumperGo do you just need a simple brake tap?

    @Puppypunter Looking to have a factory plug tap on the driver side tail light that would give connection for a third brake light (on snugtop). A tap for the camper shell inside light if possible. Trying to make it a clean look without cutting into the factory harness.

    For dome you want constant power from the battery so it works all the time.

    Parking light is parking light. On when parking lights are on.

    If you had a 2020+ you could use a bed T for cargo to your dome. That’s the easy way.

    without that or a VLED kit, I’d run fused power from the battery.
