Good morning, Everybody.

Today is my Friday and I am ready for it.

 

Outside work cancelled this am due to rain. Spending the morning burning my favorite remaining CD's to a USB Thumb Drive for the Tundra. I intentionally have no music on my phone.

 

At some point if you're still buying music to listen to, you have to be storing files somewhere, and downloading, no?
I'm all about preserving storage space and minimizing apps etc, and subscriptions. But....no music on phone. I literally cannot imagine. My phone acts as my interface both in the car AND at home.

explain please.

If I didn’t go to the gym and use earbuds, I wouldn’t have any music on my phone either.
I love my Pandora though.

 

I understand the importance that tech plays in our lives and I'm just as dependent on it as most in some areas.

But, as part of the journey towards the simplification (ie. less tech, screen time, etc.) in my life, I'm reducing my tech footprint. No subscriptions to any services, etc. Not even Netflix, etc. No Alexa or any of that stuff.

I'd go back to a flip phone if I could, but the world won't allow that.

 

I applaud that. Sincerely. Envy too.

Are you TV free? I'm pretty much married to Apple and Google. Cloud services, podcasts, music, mapping. I use them all for work and somewhat for play. Would love to do a reset and minimize.

 

No, not TV free. I don't watch much, but I do have a decent Spectrum package and have a nice big screen (non smart tv) with a good soundbar for the times when I'll on demand a good movie. I recently redid another room (my bonus room). I do have a smart TV up there (Hulu I think) and watch YouTube content up there, but haven't really explored what else is available on that TV.

 

No TV here at all, just a smart tv with YouTube, and the wii/Xbox for watching movies on dvd. Pandora on the phone for music, along with all the music I bought on iTunes back in highschool.... other than that, no tech for me really.
